    Great food, mediocre service

Dos Caminos has great mexican food, perhaps one of the best in the city; however, coupled with poor service keeps me from going back. It might have had something to do with me breaking up with my ex-wife in the restaurant, but the waiters weren't attentive when asking for the check.

    Great Guacamole!!

I went to this restaurant by chance. Overall I was satisifed, It had very nice Decor, nice for after-work dinner. The Guacamole was SO GOOD! You can either have it regular, mild or spicy. Spicy was so good, I had the skirt steak salad..However I asked for Well done and it was still bloody so I had to send it back. You can either eat inside or outside. Overall a very nice place!

Good food but not a fan-

I have to say the food is good.  I had the Kobe beef taco & the tuna ceviche. However, the service is not good- with empty tables one should never have to wait if they have a reservation.  Not a fan!

    Good Food, Poor Service

As usual, the food was AMAZING. We ordered tacos (beware of teeny portions-- but it was fine, b/c I wasn't that hungry). The other dishes were far more expensive but were larger in portion size. Brunch is a nice deal ($15.00 including a drink), but we were too late for that. Over all, I really like the place, but the service could be friendlier.

Small portions for what you're paying

Yes the place is trendy and has a good selection of cocktails but for what you're paying, the portions are so small it's ridiculous. the only thing that is a nice sized portion is the guacamole which is salty, but very good.

    Over-rated, but quite trendy

I had heard a lot of rave reviews about Dos Caminos, so we stopped for brunch. The waiter was really hard-selling the guacamole, so we tried it. It was much too salty. The chicken barbacoa was small, limp, and lacking any real flavor. It had neither a strong grilled, barbequed, spicy flavor, and it didn't taste much of the "fresh citrus" that was supposed to make it special. On the upside, the people-watching was pretty good in the outside dining area.

    No thanks.

I work in a gallery in Soho which is a couple stores down, so my first day on the job I decided to give this place a try. I was seated quickly, and the waitress took my order in a timely fashion. However, everything after that went downhill. She brought out a basket of chips, with the equivalent of three different teaspoons of salsa - only two of which I could eat because the other one was too hot. Then came the tacos. They consisted of mediocre chicken and a small amont of lettuce - that's it. There was also a scoop of dry looking beans, and plain looking rice. For the price, Dos Caminos essentially ruined my lunch break.
