    Taste was poor, ambiance nice

The quality was o.k. I had the shrimp in garlic sauce, but I didn't taste the garlic. Small portion of rice. My friends black beans were kind of bland. The guacamole, however, was great! Of course, one gucamole was $12. I guess I would just go here for beer and chips, salsa & guacamole.

    Great Food, poor service

This place has amazing food and drinks. A group of friends and I went to enjoy dinner and chat, but we were disappointed with the service. Our waitress was not good. Our drinks were never full. Our appetizers took forever to arrive at the table. She has an unpleasant attitude. We sat at the table for at least 40 minutes before she came to take our order. And that only happened after we finally flagged her down.

    Great place and good food

I loved the atmosphere and the food, a great place to meet up with friends on a week night for a good drink.

    Great Guacamole but Subpar Chips

The point to making anything perfectly, is defeated if it's accompaniment is of lower quality. I am rather disappointed in the quality of the chips, whereas impressed with the guacamole. I'm ready to bring store brought cold chips to the place just so I can REALLY enjoy it. As for the drinks? EXCELLENT inventions they have on that menu. The rest of the food is excellent as well. You should NOT go and not have the guacamole.... don't say you don't like guacamole if you haven't even tried it, I made that mistake till I came here. (I'll eat foods I'm scared of in a nice restaurant). The service, I really can't recall. I don't concern myself with people serving me unless they are slow or mess something up... I could care less about their attitude, as they are merely a distraction from the interesting people that I would accompany.

Wasn't as pleasant as it could have been

The impression while walking in was that it was going to be a very elegant evening since the reception was good and the crowd was pleasing to be around. But once we sat down, we really did not find the waitress for at least half an hour, without even waters to start us off with. Started to feel really neglected, which just isn't a pleasant beginning. Then the guacamole wasn't prepared in front of us, which was the whole point, and that detracted from the evening as well. The guacamole was good which was probably their biggest selling point. The mariscos taco entree that I ordered came in very small portions, but one could tell it was delicately prepared and the ingredients were very fresh. The seafood filling was delicious and almost worth the $12 that it cost. Other people ordered steaks that were good but also came in a small strip. Overall, while the food quality was good, I would reccommend staying for a 3-course meal, but judging by the prices, that would not have been a great value either. The experience would probably have been better.
