Tasty
Went here last night. Recommend getting a reservation first. I thought we would have to wait for a table even with one but I showed up and got seated right away. We ordered the fresh guacamole, the carbon tacos and lobster tacos. The tacos were tasty but are appetizers in the evening. So I got a side of rice and beans and it was enough food for two of us. Our food came out right way, before our drinks. I've also gone late at night and sat at the bar to eat. The food is tasty and I'll definitely go back again.

Go for the bar
Arrived at 7:15 and the bar was soo crowded. We were shown to our table within 5 minutes which was good. Appetizers were the seafood ceviche and the pork tacos. the ceviche was a small portion and very salty to be priced at $14. The tacos were a good choice. Main courses were the tuna which was again salty and fair at best, the skirt steak which my date did not enjoy due to the odd spices and the sea bass which was the only good dish. The side order of spinach was good, but again very small. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake which was spicy and not sweet at all and the sorbet which seemed as though it was not fresh. For the amount of money that the food is here, I would go for a drink and head somewhere else for dinner. Not recommended.

Fantastic!
Dos Caminos is overpriced for what you get but I think it's worth it. The guac is the best i've ever had and the tuna entree is out of this world. If you're expecting authentic mexican this isn't your place. If you want a fun place to go with great drinks and food this is the spot.

Great food and great atmosphere!
The food here was delicious, and the drinks were as well, and I have to say that the guacamole was the BEST i have ever had! Good atmosphere, this place is great for a date because you can grab a drink at the bar and then if you decide you want to have dinner you can. I'm a fan!

A very disapointed Mexican
The place is nice. It has a good bar and atmpspehre, so go to Dos Caminos to drink and have a good time. If you are interested in the food... Well, avoid it. The food is too expensive, for what it is. If you have been to Mexico you know better. The guacamole is actually average. The food has some of the traditional Mexican ingredients and flavors, but they are not the best. Also, the portions are too small. Stick with the margaritas and enjoy it.

Great Food...definitely recommend
I recently visited Dos Caminos for Restaurant Week. The food was amazing and presented at just the right moments...not too quickly and not too slow. The guacamole, although expensive at $12 (for 2 people)...was delicious - probably the best i've had - and I come from the west coast...i KNOW my guacamole. This mexican is a little more high class than the norm. but very tasty. I do plan on going back.

Overpriced with small portions
For two scallops, three pieces of shrimp, a small cup or rice and stale corn tortillas, I should not have paid what I paid. My friends mahi mahi was too salty. This place has a nice atmosphere but the food is way overpriced and not at all good. IIn addition, I have been to a good amount of authentic spanish, mexican, portuguese restaurants all over the borough and I don't really know what type of "fusion" food they were trying to create..what a disappointment
