    Great Food - exceptional service

I used to live in the area and would eat here all the time because the food is so great. I own a couple of apartments nearby that I now rent out to visitors. Anyway, one night my cleaning lady accentually locked out my arriving guests and we knew it would take her at least an hour to get there to unlock the door for them. They had reservations at Dos so I called ahead and asked for two huge favors. First, that they would check their luggage and second, that they would allow me to pay for $100 of their meal. Might not sound like a big deal, but they were totally swamped and didn't know me from Adam. The general manager, Andrew, was especially helpful in executing this and even refused the $10 tip I offered him. This is very UN-New York like!!! I am glad that Dos Caminos values their customers as much as I value my guests. I will continue to recommend them to all my friends and visitors. Plus, the guacamole is second to none and the atmosphere cozy and enchanting. (also love the melted cheese appetizer.) Thanks to Andrew and his whole great team of servers and hosts for helping me save face with my Tenants!!! Amy

    Loved it

The frozen margaritas were delicious, the guacamole was outstanding, the quesadillas were huge and tasty, desserts were perfect, waitress was sweet and very attentive, and the decor was beautiful.....no complaints at all. I will definitely be back soon! We had a great night.

    Fun Place

food = good , drinks=good Staff = they think they are working at a much higher end place than they are . That being said . I had fun there and will return again .

    Pushy waitress!

I had dinner on a Wednesday night. Bought drinks, guac, entrees, the whole shebang. Waitress put the check down superfast. As we finished our drinks, the waitress came by three times and asked if she could take the billl. I was like enough! Not going back. If I'm paying that much for mediocre Mexican, don't hassle me so much. Also, if you put mirrors in front of me, I can see you roll you eyes behind my back.

    It's not really a restaurant

I think who wrote "sub par" reviews on this place missed the point. You go to Dos Caminos for the pretty people who go there and not for the food. If you want good Mexican food go to Mary Ann's near St. Mark's but I bet you find as many good looking people there.
