    Subpar and pushy

My boyfriend and I went here on a Tuesday night. We live in the neighborhood and even though I've had drinks a few times since its opening, I've never actually eaten there. Big mistake. While we were promptly seated because it was rather quiet the waitress tried to upsell us on everything. She told me the salad wasn't very big and that I should add shrimp or chicken but once it came it was a very good size for an entree. Then we only ordered 1 drink each and to be honest the reason was because the drinks were not that good. Once she found out we weren't ordering more she took the drinks we had even though there was plenty left. Aside from her, the food was just boring and mediocre. Dos Caminos is probably one of the biggest reasons people always say there is not good Mexican food in NY. They phone it in.

    Know what to order!

I have been coming to Dos Caminos for years and I love all the locations. The things about Dos Caminos is you have to know WHAT to order and you will not be disappointed. Always get the Guacamole. Always order the tacos. The steak tacos are spicy, great flavor and the perfect plate to get when you're full from the guacamole. The mojitos are spot on. Yum!

    utterly uninspiring

Went to Dos Caminos Park on Friday for dinner with out-of-town friends. The food was awful: underseasoned, undercooked, and totally not worth the price paid. Granted, we were not looking for a life-changing food experience, but this was so far off the mark we would have been better off getting fast food. Definitely the last time I will cross Dos Caminos' threshold.

    not worth it

i went here with 5 friends we each ordered a different plate and none of us liked our food the best thing we ate was the guacamole and the waitress almost had a tantrum when we didnt give her a 30% tip it left us feeling awkward i ate the shrimp quesadilla it tasted like swiss cheese on a tortilla not in a good way the shrimp was a little spicy at the end i wished that i had gone somewhere else to eat

    Faux overpriced mexfood

Ok for a margarita or two. The food was not good - a gray, overcooked, salty, overpriced mess. Unpleasant dining experience.

    impressive!

came here for dinner w/ a party of 5 on a saturday night. the atmosphere was lively and energetic. everything we ordered was impressive and flavorful, and our server was attentive and fun. i found the staff in general to be pleasant and service oriented. it's also great to be in a restaurant that makes you forget that space is limited in nyc. my only complaint is that drinks were pretty overpriced, but all in all i had a great night out and will be back!

    Southwest Visitor Likes It

I grew up on tacos and burritos in the Southwest, and thought this would be nothing new. I was totally wrong. The food was delicious and the service was quite good. My friends took me there on a Friday night and and it was a bit noisy for me, but everything tasted wonderful. It's definitely not Del Taco and that's a good thing.
