Not Recommended
The chips and salsa and guac are the only good items on this menu. Service was non-existent! The refried beans were buried in salt. The Chicken cobb salad was cold and dry! We waited over an hour for our main courses and they got one of them wrong! Never going again.

Shockingly bland and poor
Poor food and dead service. Do not waste our time or money.

Great Margaritas & Fantastic Guacamole
First time at this location - sat outside and enjoyed the people watching. The guacamole was fantastic, perfectly seasoned and spicy like we ordered it. The trio of salsas are very good and the chips are just the right amount for two people. The Especial Margarita was outstanding - much better than the house one we had at the 3rd Ave location. Service was good.

Unpleasant Experience
Do not go to this restaurant unless you enjoy bad service and mediocre food. Our waitress was abrupt, confused and slow. After we ordered, they turned the lights down so low that we couldn't see our food, even with three candles on the table. The waitress had to shine her light on our food so we could see what we had ordered - very unappetizing and absurd! They finally turned the lights up slightly after we complained for the third time and glass was broken at a table near ours which the waitress tried to clean up using the light from her tiny flashlight - extremely unsafe! The food was average at best.

Not worth it!
If you want a chill place to have drinks than there is nothing wrong with this location. However, the food is horrible! I have eaten at other Dos Comino's locations and had a great meal, but this was not even close to edible. Left the restaurant hungry and $50 lighter.

Weekend brunch
Sitting outside on a sunny day in the meatpacking district a couple can have a drink, an entrée and coffee for around $30...walk the Highline. Perfection!

Service Issues
I had heard so many great things about the Dos Caminos restaurants but on arrival was extremely disappointed. I was with my parents and siblings vsiting NY and when we ordered drinks were asked for ID - not unheard of in my late twenties - but when we produced ID that was not from NY they refused to serve us alcohol (despite all of us being well over 21 and sitting with our parents). The food was okay but nothing to write home about - I've had better mexican in most small towns in CA and for was half the price. The really frustrating thing was that we were basically ignored after we ordered and then after I comnplained about the earlier alcohol issue they offered a table of 5 one free dessert - not exactly going to much trouble. In the end it is popular so it will do well but I would recommend hundereds of NY restaurants over this one. P.S. If you don't like being blasted by music all night this isn't the place for you.
