Excellent pastas
Been there twice. Some of the best pasta on the UES. Reasonably priced. A classy place, but they treat kids well.

Great service; great food; A UES favorite
I had experienced this place many times under it's former name. While the food was good, the service was always poor. Enter DoppioSenso. While nothing seems to have changed in the layout and overall atmosphere, the new management has turned things around. The service is now top notch, with attentive wait staff (not to the point of being annoying) and very good food. The salmon is my personal favorite. The wine list has some nice choices and the desserts are outstanding. This is a welcome change from the previous administration. check it out.

Maybe this location is cursed?
Decided to give this place a shot despite it being the third or fourth establishment at this location in the past couple of years and several already well established Italian joints within a few blocks. Exposed white drop ceiling fitting, waiters seemingly in training, lukewarm apps, a gittery wine pourer and odd wine glasses better suited for a $10 bottle of bourbon make this a forgettable place. Hopefully the next restaurant that opens here is better
