Donna Bell's Bake Shop

I'm not knocking Donna Bell's good homemade like food nor the quality. However, whom ever manages customer interaction or old fashioned manners needs to tell the people who answer the phone for orders or relate to in-service - that Public Relations is as much a factor of successful business as is the food they serve. They missed out on an order for 35 people because I was on hold for 20 min, after being hung up on. Then I called back and was told to hold on again. - Bella might not need my few bucks now, but sooner or later people will stop showing up and go somewhere for better treatment for good quality food. I went back to Amy's Bread

Just has their biscuit breakfast sandwich! It was one of the best things I've ever had before noon. I wonder how they make something so simple taste to extraordinarily good? Breakfast ends at 10:30 am then it looks like they start lunch. With such a tiny space (you can watch them in the kitchen) I think I understand their process. Awesome customer service and it's very cute and cozy inside. I felt like I walked into my grandmother's kitchen the place just smells like "home'.

Popped in for a quick take out lunch, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions. The tomato veggie soup was delicious and it came with an awesome biscuit. Didn't have dessert but everything looked soooo good. Will definitely be going back.

I had the chocolate cupcake. The icing was good. The cake wasn't dry but could of been a little more moist. Overall it was okay but won't be going again with so many other amazing cupcake places in NYC.
