Poor pizza
I just ordered the Margherita fresh mozzarella, it came cold. It was so sweet, the seem to just use tomato paste.

Bella panini
If Bella Rosa claims that the eggplant Panini is divine then for me this must be one of the best places in the world!Keep up the good work chef and keep my baby happy!

Excellent!
This is one great neighborhood pizza joint. Last year, our baby was hospitalized for 20 days at nearby Lenox Hill Hospital… Even though a few other places closer to the hospital offer pizza, THIS is the place we’d gravitate towards – a no-frills neighborhood place that serves up delicious food. The pizza is fab as are the paninis (like little sliders made from garlic knots). Nice wide selection of tasty eats. The seating area is kind of cramped & old-looking but hey at least there are clean bathrooms. We love Don Filippo’s!

Over 15 Years eating at Don Filippo's
Yes, my husband and I have been eating at this restaurant for over 15 years, before marriage and kids. No party at home is ever complete without ordering from them. Their meals - whether takeout, eating at the restaurant or from their extensive catering menu has consistently been delicious, hot and on time. Our children have learned to make pizza with their take home pizza kit and they do not walk by without saying hi to their "Uncle Sal". This is what a neighborhood pizzeria should be.

The Best on the Upper East Side
Never mind the pizzas which are excellent ... its the other food they serve. People come from across town to eat there. The service at the tables is terrific. Find yourself anywhere near 79Th and Lexington ... maybe after going to the Met or the Whitney ... run don't walk and have some of there hot and cold standwiches or pasta dishes. Large servings. By the way, the prices are extremely reasonable too. I live in the neighborhood and go there frequently.

really tasty, not fussy, good prices
This place has been around forever and it's easy to see why. The food is almost always perfect and the guys behind the counter are friendly, quick and remember you if you come in a few times. Spoke to the owner and they just renovated - it's a lot nicer, suitable for a night out. Prices are still really decent though. Try their pastas, garlic bread, and Phil's Favorite Salad.....so yummy.
