    Best Bakery

I recently just went here after coming back from a trip to France, and I think this bakery was more amazing than a lot of the ones I saw in Paris! The desserts were amazingly beautiful, but had little twists and new additions and flavor combinations that you would never find elsewhere. Get the Paris NY, and also the DKA. A true gem!

    My not-so-secret obsession

The first time I came to this bakery, I didn't know anything about it. But the cakes looked especially lovely, so I tried it. Since then, I've been coming back, and it was my go-to spot for parties. It wasn't until I read about it on TimeOut Magazine that I realized it was run by a famous pastry chef. Apparently, it's the best bakery in NYC. I would have to say I agree. Really intricate work on all the desserts and the flavors are all spot on. And one of the best croissants I've ever in New York. I guess my secret is not so secret afterall, but this bakery rocks.

    ehhh..won't go back

He's supposed to be the best of the best and I thought it was just mediocre and definitely not worth the prices

    Avoid the "Viennoiseries" !

The pastries themselves are fine but the chocolate croissants are just lousy. Everything is about a dollar or so overpriced. Do they really not know how big a chain Financier has become in Manhattan? The customer service is as poor as you have heard on Yelp, to the point of being the cliche French hostile and rude. If you are in the area, walk either to a nearby Financier or the great Balthazar (even with all the tourists, their baked goods are amazing).

    A-mazing!

From the moment I walked in, everything was just really...pleasant. The staff are very friendly and sweet. Everything looked amazing. They say the cookies are baked by the hour. They do their own ice cream in house and all the macarons. And it was nice to see the open kitchen - so clean and neat! And then there were those DKA's! Don't even get me started on them. Amazing! Everyone in Manhattan should try one. I would say this was the best new bakery in New York in a long time. Not just another cupcake shop, if you know what I mean.

    Best New Bakery this Year

I had high expectations coming, and minus the longer than usual (took me about 8 minutes for my sandwich), the place was really solid. Food quality is just on a whole new level from what you can get in Soho. It's on par with Bouchon, and when it comes to the pastries and croissants, it's even better. The DKA's!!! I never thought a pastry could change my life, but this one did! Incredible! Not just another cookie-cutter place. LOVE it!
