Domenico's

I'm shocked by the other reviews here. I've been to Domenico's 3 times, and am having a private party there soon. I have been there only for large private parties, but the service is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is great. Dealing with the owners personally in planning my party has been great.

My husband and I were excited to use our Entertainment card at this place. Despite having a free entree, our bill still came to over $100. The food is fairly high priced for what it is. The wine list is incredibly overpriced. Several bottles of wine are cheaper at Artisinal and Sparks! The food was very tasty, though somewhat greasy. The most memorable part of the evening was the unbelieveably poor service. The waiter needed to be told to bring menus. The busboy needed to be instructed on how to clear a table. I honestly don't know how this restarant employs people like this.

Enter to a grim poorly lit restaurant and it only gets worse. The bread basket was served along with a plate of jalapenos, olives and a dead cockroach! the food was too oily (buttery) done to disguise the not so subtle lack of flavors - chef does not appear to have a clue about Italian cooking - just douses it with oil and cheese. Service is good and attentive but not much use with such poor fare and hygiene.

The best shrimp scampi al Cognac! Excellent italian cheese cake. Excellent service!
