This has become our goto restaurant whenever we are in NYC. The staff are wonderful. This is a classic NY restaurant - you aren't going to get the phony 'Have a nice day' treatment. Instead, you will be treated with discreet consideration and respect by very knowledgeable servers. All of the food we have had has been excellent and we have made it through most of the menu. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to enjoy a NYC gem.

We made a reservation on Open Table but it didn't seem like they had it on arrival at the restaurant. Luckily we were early so it was not a problem to seat 6 of us. Waiter was very attentive but not intrusive. Food delicious and price was moderate. Only one of us had their prix fixe menu which was very good. Price is $24 for a 3 course meal with choices soup or salad, steak, salmon or chicken and desert of strawberries (ok they were just plain so not very exciting), tiramisu or cheesecake. It has a cosy, quiet atmosphere and most tables were full early evening.

I have been coming here with family and friends for the last few years. My family has become very good friends with the staff and owners. I have zero complaints and was surprised to read what ppl had to say about it being negitive. Its perfect for clients, a quiet and peaceful place to talk. I will continue to go and I recommend others check it out.

Am living in NYC over a year now and have just stumbled on this fab little place. Enjoyed a really nice meal and the service was amazing and friendly. Couldn't believe when I read the bad reviews here - we were really, really happy with the service here. The food was just how I like it. Will def return!

I'm from TN and though some might think we are "hicks", I can honestly say that if NYC believes Domenico's to be a 3-4 star restaurant then they need to get out more. The service was not very good and anything but friendly. We felt we were being tested to see if we could catch the food being thrown at us! The food was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was OK, but I have seen better. If you go to NYC for GREAT food and a WONDERFUL time..don't waste your time here.

I have been coming to Domenico's for years and have never been disappointed from the tri-colour salad to a rich pasta entree or scicilian veal chop and more. The waiters are attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is homey and welcoming. I have a luncheon there today and am anticipating another wonderful meal.

Domenico's is the kind of restaurant that beckons your return. We make it a point to go there as often as we can. The professional waiters (dressed in tux's) - are attentive and just great. The food is beyond scrumptous. The bar is cozy and friendly, too. I highly recommend that you try this midtown "find".
