    dont get delivery from em'

usually rather nice for a sit down grill, i wouldnt recommend ordering delivery from here. they took forever due to alleged 'bag problems', though my stir fry still leaked all over the place when it finally arrived. and the food? weaaaak. so weak. flavors are mad off.

    Amazing Korean tacos!

I love tacos, and I love Korean food. So when you put these two things together, I am in heaven.... All the ingredients in the tacos are authentically Korean, even down to the kkaennip (sesame leaves) that cradle the pork belly in the taco by the same name. Although the pork belly and short rib tacos are the stars of the show, the vegetarian options of giant oyster mushroom and tofu tacos are superb. (I really love the tofu taco! And this is strange, because I am not a particular fan of tofu either.) And don't forget to get some of the traditional side dishes! The kimchi rivals that of some of kimchi I've had in Flushing, Queens, but Dokebi is a much shorter train ride!

    Awesome

This place has great Korean BBQ, but besides that, they have an amazing Korean mixed with a Southern twist brunch that is amazing, and the best tacos I've ever had, make sure you get them with the Korean toppings. Great Taste of Williamsburg.

    Clarification!

I am not sure why, but there is quite a bit of misinformation about Dokebi. We do not charge for Ban Chan unless you ask for a take out container of them to go. This is because some people have wanted to just purchase kimchee from us. We will get 4 to 5 Ban Chan side dishes with your meal. We will also refill any of your Ban Chan when you request it. This has been our policy since 2006. Thank you!

    disappointing

i was very disappointed by this place. if you go to ANY korean restaurant in korea town (around 32nd st in manhattan), you get all the yummy appetizers for free but you have to pay money to even get kimchi here. all the food is not authentic, its just too spicy but doesn't have any other flavor to it. i would rather go to korean town instead of going to dokebi, which is located conveniently 3 blocks away from my house.

    korean food for hipsters

really really disappointed how on how Korean food is repped in Willy B... I had the duen jang jji gae, cuz its such a basic /classic stew that is hard to get wrong. and... they got it wrong! I went with a bunch of non korean friends and they all liked it but its just wrong to call this food "korean food". All the flavors were dull and toned down. The bbq was way too salty and lacked flavor. Flavor and spice is the main point in korean cuisine...such a poor representation of my motherlands cuisine.
