Poor Service
Delivery takes forever. Up to an hour. The staff is awkward. Either they have too much attitude or they're bored. As for food, it's decent. Nothing to write home about though. I guess this place will have to do since there are no other Korean restaurants in the neighborhood.

Eh
I went to Dokebi super excited because there really aren't very many Korean places in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area. Here is what I have to say about Dokebi: - Mushroom burritos are delicious but I wish they had served them on a plate rather than a paper container. This was a sit-down dinner not take-out! - Pickled banchan dishes were great - The dohlsoht bibimbap was deplorable. Super bland and had zero flavor. I'm Korean and have had many bowls of bibimbap. Not trying to be super picky or anything since New York isn't exactly known for having great Korean food but this had really no effort put into it. - The shabu shabu was not impressive either. The vegetarian broth tasted like water. I think I could have made it work since I was super hungry but what I found very irritating was that none of the utensils fit into the bottom of the vented broth container. We literally had trouble trying to scoop out the veggies and noodles towards the bottom of the container. On top of that, the container had this annoying central vent on which noodles kept sticking during the entire meal. They eventually started to char into a black ashy mess which they fell into the broth. I've had shabu shabu plenty of times at other restaurants and the use of a bowl with no vent in the center seems to work better. Needless to say, we stopped eating long before we were full and just got a snack from somewhere else afterwards. I will not be returning to Dokebi.

Amazing delivery
Best delivery since moving to the neighborhood! Bibimbahp, yukgaejamg, & ttuckppokki are fantastic.

Poorly Managed
Basically good food, nothing to write home about but good enough for a Monday night. What really lets Dokebi down is the delivery service. Food is slow to arrive, when it does come it often is incomplete, missing side orders or condiments, phone servers are polite but not empowered to resolve issues and manager refuse to deal with customer complaints. Classic case of decent kitchen and lame management.

Amazing food+atmosphere
Lately we've been going to Dokebi Grill at least once a week - it's become almost an obsession! They have great food (bulgoki meat is amazing, even better than anything I've tried in K-town) and nice atmosphere. If I'm craving some delicious food I instantly think of Dokebi. If I'm looking to spend an evening with some friends over drinks I instantly think of Dokebi - their bar area is very cosy (love the wooden tables + huge chandelier). There is usually a wait on Sats and Fris but since we can always spend it at their cosy bar it never bothered us . The staff are very nice and polite. My only complaint would be that their drinks aren't that great and a bit watered down. The mojito we ordered was very bad it had some unknown ingridient in it that made it taste so strange. But, oh well, perhaps mojitos aren't their specialty :)

Fantastic!
I can't believe anyone would complain about this place. The food is so good! The ingredients are obviously superior to any place around and the drinks are reasonably priced. We had the watermelon soju drink which was cheap & perfect for the hot weather. They had a pretty extensive sake list that I'd like to get into some time. I had an INCREDIBLE chicken stir fry and my companion had the tuna bibimbahp. We also had a tasty short rib taco and a yummy mushroom taco. Beautiful presentation on the traditional Korean food. Our bartender was super nice and attentive. My only complaint was that the food came out of the kitchen with strange timing. We ate in the bar so maybe that was it. The atmosphere in the bar is perfect for a date, first, second, 300th. It's really sexy. I hear it gets crowded on the weekends though.

Bland and dry
Was having a drink here and thought I would give it a try. The meat in the tacos was very dry and bland. Don't understand the whole fresh made in house thing. Did not taste that way. The only thing I did taste was the corn taco shell.
