    doesn't worth going

food is overpriced for what you're getting. waitresses were busy talking to each other at the bar and didn't care to check up on us.i'd rather go elsewhere.

    Never let dok suni fold!

Everything is excellent. It doesn't have the standard menu of the Koreatown restaurants, a tad more expensive, but very innovative. We like it. -blt

    Addicted!

I love this place... All I need to say is that I was just there on Friday and today is Tuesday and I'm going back again!! I can't even count how many times I have been there. The Kalbi is awesome. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know. The cozy atmosphere really makes Dok Suni stand out.

    just like home

in this small restaurant located on east village, i can enjoy korean food like i am eating at home...bulgoggi and the pajon are excellent...and the summer coming up, nothing better than hot/spicy korean food with a coll beer...

    Tip optional?

Food was really good, the jap-chae and the bulgogi, sooo good, but when my friend and i went we just came from california, we left a tip of 15% and when we were leaving, just right outside the restaurant, the hostess runs after us and tells us we need to leave a 18% tip, how whack is that? Isn't tip considered kind of optional?

If the food is so bad, why do reviewers give this place high ratings? This place does a decent job. Some say it's authentic, some say it's not. All I know is I like the food enough to come back regularly and I haven't found another place that's better in the neighborhood. I have no problems recommending this place and I give it high marks.
