I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a great price. The people working there are fabulous, the man behind the counter was extremely helpful when I had questions about some of the dishes. The place was a little shabby, but they don't need to impress anyone, it was simply delicious. I plan on frequenting the place often.

Best indian food by far in manhattan, Place opened about 2 years ago, frequented by cab drivers, Columbia students, has 3 tables, restrooms, counters. I order out few times a week, platter is $6 including 4 to 6 veggies (changes daily, spinach, caulifower, chickpeas, squash, eggplant, okra, potatoes, cabbage, green pepper, soy, some others), bread o choice (5/6 types), miserable looking salad. They don't have rice, ordering process involves standing next to the counter waiting your turn, a bit chaotic since they take your bread order and then make you wait before picking your veggies, friendly staff, also has sweets, snacks

Absolutely brilliant place! You know the food is good when the street is lined with cabs, as all the cab drivers go there for their indian fix. Great prices! Get the veggie platter for $6 which includes 4 different curries/mixes of your choice, 2 naan/chickpea bread, and a cup of Chai tea after you are through. Free yogurt as well! The food is fresh and they make the naan as you order it so it is perfectly hot. Not as environmentally friendly as I would like since all the trays are styrofoam and the utensils/cups are plastic. Basically, you don't go there for the decor or environment factors. You go there for a really cheap, high quality meal!
