good for groups
I had my 30th there a couple of weeks ago. They were very accommodating for a large group (20). We opted for the pre-fixe...it was a great deal. The food was amazing! Many of my guests were Korean and commented on the authentic taste of the food. Recommended...

Very Expensive
I went last night and must say I really liked the food. Not the best meal, but very good with healthy portions. However the prices are just a bit too high. Drinks are expensive too. The service was good but there were a few miscommunications. I like how the tables are pretty big and spread out nicely, which is rare these days. Loved the Korean Gnocchi, get that to start if you go.

subpar food, good decor
Anyone who thinks the food is good or great here doesn't know Korean food. But then not too many people know what good Korean food is. The decor, drink menu and the ambiance is user friendly. Nice place for an overpriced dinner of mediocre/below avg Korean food.

My favorite place...
DoHwa appeals to both seasoned Korean foodies as well as newcomers. I have been coming here for years and love bringing in friends who have yet to try this divine cuisine. The service is professional and fast, they also can be very playful. A definite must!

I get very excited...
every time my friends and I are craving good Korean food we head to DoHwa. The scene is very cool and food simply delicious. The side dishes that come with the entrees are AWESOME (I can't believe they are free!!). Their cocktails are also quite good...I love the ginger kamikazee!! Simply a must for good Korean in a kool atmosphere!

Just so-so
Ate here last Friday. I'm a real lover of Korean food and usually go to Flushing for a real taste. I figured I'd stay in the neighborhood and give this place a try. Well, while it wasn't awful, it wasn't good either. Everything from top to bottom was just mediocre. I'd go back again if my friends wanted to but without much enthusiasm. -Food, mild -Service, slow-ish -Atmosphere-ok

pretentious and rude
I have been to Do Hwa many times but will never go back. The service has become unbelievably pretentious. Recently, a friend of mine two of us were rudely refused a table, even though the restaurant was virtually empty, even after we called to make a reservation and were told that walk-ins are welcome. I don't know what the deal is, but it's too bad, because I've always enjoyed the food there.
