    Heaven

I had been craving a pljeskevica for quite a while, and finally dropped by Djerdan. It was glorious. I work only a few blocks away, but had never ventured over. I grabbed the sandwich to go, but plan to return for a full, sit-down meal with my girlfriend as soon as possible.

    A good find

We were intrigued by the idea of Bosnian food. We have no way of knowing, this being our first experience with that cuisine, if the dishes were authentic and not Americanized but everything we ordered was well-seasoned and unique. There is something on the menu called Burek slice. It is a pizza-like pie wedge of philo pastry filled with either spinach, meat, or cheese. I had peppers sauteed with garlic as an appetizer and two slices of Burek, one with spinach and one with meat. The portions are generous and I enjoyed stuffing myself. The other dishes ordered were a soup, and mousaka. I tasted both of those and will try them next time. The baklava was shared as a good ending to this meal. The waitstaff was pleasant and patient with helping us try to pronounce the Bosnian names of the dishes which are certainly described well in English. This was a very enjoyable restaurant experience.

    More options to choose from

Have something everyday from your normal places can be tiring. But this place is great to change it up and have something different. The food is Awsome and I love it. I suggest everybody give this place a shot. I promise, you won't be dissappointed.

    Jebote Tita....

One of the best Burek I have ever had. The only down side they do not have any roasted pig on the menu

A Taste of Bosnia in Manhattan

I go every Friday after work for stuffed pljeskavica (a VERY large beef patty stuffed with cheese and cold cuts) - DELICIOUS. If you add some ajvar (vegetable spread made with roasted peppers, eggplants, and other) and sour cream, it doesn't get any better than that. And I highly recommend a slice of sirnica (cheese burek) as an appetizer. Top that off with some yummy dessert and a really strong Bosnian coffee... well, need I say more?

    The Melting Pot

Love the variety of food. The tastes can be compared to a blend of turkish, italian and bulgarian food... The burek though is truly a Bosnian favorite.
