I have been to Dizzys several times. At the bar, on a date, with a friend with a group and for the late night set.The service is very good overall. For dinner you get a good portion of fresh, well prepared and very tasty choices. Never anything to complain about so far. The cover charge is reasonable when you have relaxing ambience, a beautiful view of Central Park and world renowned artists playing.

The club is in a wonderful room, the music enjoyable, but not the best in the food department. The food is prepared without pizazz and is just there. I would suggest you eat before or after the show else where.

the food was at best average. Catfish had way to much batter and was not very tasty. Mac and cheese was dry and cheeseless. the $30 cover charge was way to much but i will say the band was excellent. i think you should be warned when a cover is imposed not when they bring you the tab. i would rate this at the top of the list of tourist traps in NY. I would not visit this place again if it was complimentary.

Going to this night club is a unique experience. Comfortable seating and tables all affording excellent views of the 'performers' stage and the magnificent views of Central Park, Columbus Circle and the towering mansion apartments along Fifth Avenue beyond. Must be one of the most spectacular backcloths of any stage in the world! Breathtaking especially as the sun lowers in the sky and reflects on the Fifth Avenue facades. The service was also attentive. Heck...considering that the purpose of the night is world class jazz in sumptuous surroundings, then food does not take center stage but as it happens the cuisine here is not bad at all. The starters to share were tasty, entree's more than acceptable and you can't go far wrong anywhere in NYC with desserts. This was our second visit to Dizzy's and we will return each time we visit Manhattan. A good night out and considering the overall package, represents excellent value for money.

Floor service is in dire need of improvement: servers are incompetent, slow, and very fake! You can tell they dont enjoy themselves at work which is extremely appearent towards guests. I was there a couple days ago and my server mistreated me because I was a student and I guess she assumed I wouldnt leave her a good tip. However, the bar service was much more warm and welcoming. The bartenders devoted much of their time and energy to all their guest equally. If i ever went back the bar is where I would reserve.
