Subpar food, service
Don't waste your time or money with this place. The staff here is disinterested in paying attention to customers. I could forgive that if the prices and food were decent -- they aren't. To pay upwards of $3 for a stale bagel with cream cheese is unforgivable. The bagel's in the trash, and a bad taste is left in my mouth (literally). It's worth it to walk the extra block somewhere else.

Rude employees
I typically go out of my way to do business with small, locally-owned businesses so I've tried this place many times, but no more. The staff has always been rude but this last time I was low on cash so I wanted to use my credit card for a $3.50 purchase. The counter guy bruskly said "$10 minimum" and pointed to the ATM machine that charges a hefty fee. I declined to use it and again offered my card. He said "sorry." So did I, and I proceeded down the street to go somewhere else that accepts cards for any amount.

Convenient but the service is poor
Very rude cooks. Those guys gross me out because after I make my order they just stand there and look at me for five minutes before starting to cook my food? What is that about? I have heard of numerous accounts where my co-workers always complain anout their cooks.

Yesterdays Bagels?
Work in the neighborhood and stopped going here long ago; decided to grab a bagel today and now I remember why I stopped coming here; poor quality, soggy bagel may be from yesterday and I'm not sure they are using real butter. Better off getting one from the street cart.

unfriendliest staff i've ever encountered
my office is next door to this place, and prefer to walk somewhere else in the freezing cold rather than put up with the staff here. ordering something as simple as a toasted bagel with cream cheese results in sneers and under-the-breath comments from the cooks, and then trying to pay for it is another story. the cashier simply glares at you with her palm extended and then places your change on the counter, instead of back in your hand. not too mention that the food isn't anything special, just bland, run-of-the-mill deli food.

Great Place for Lunch
I go here often for lunch and I have yet to be disapointed. The bagels are great and so are the sandwiches and burgers. And it is very clean and reasonably priced.
