    Not recommended

If you'd actually like to receive your food or actually receive your money back after paying on Seamless Web, do not order delivery from them. After waiting about an hour and a half, the person on the phone actually had the nerve to hang up on us about 3 times when we tried to inquire as to the whereabouts of our lunch. He continued to hang up on us when we asked to receive our money back. Too many Indian places in NYC to deal with these guys...

    Poor service, mediocre food

I have never experienced such horrendous service in my life. When I arrived the restaurant was completely full, which is not a problem. But after waiting a few minutes for someone to come over and acknowledge I was even standing there I made my way past the bar and tried to get someone’s attention. The servers completely ignored me. It’s not until I physically stood in front of one that they said they had no more tables. When I asked how long was the wait he just turned around and walked away. I should have left then, but I said I would stick it out because I saw a table getting up. Apparently there was a cricket game that everyone was too enthralled by to pay attention to the customers. After the couple they server didn’t even clean the table. When I asked one if I could ask him a question he said yes but continued to walk towards the tv, not even looking at me. Finally I flagged down one person who was not watching the game and he finally lead me to a different table. After we said down and had apps the first guy who ignored us had the nerve to ask if we wanted the check so he could make room for another group. The food was not the greatest either. Please don’t waste your time at a place that doesn’t appreciate your business.

    Not good. Bland

Not good food. Pushy waiters wanting you to order more food and drinks, but when it comes to service they ignore you. Unappetizing food. I'm well versed in Indian food, and this was near the most disappointing I've ever eaten in NY. Boring.

    Bombastic!

Came here on a sunday when craving curry, was not disappointed. No jalfrezi on the menu but the very helpful staff cooked one up for me! Would definately revisit, shame it was empty.

OK for buffet, have to go back to try a la carte

I went for the buffet. A good deal at under $10, only complaint is that it looked like the food had been sitting unheated for a while (I got there on a quiet day towards the end of the afternoon). They turned the heaters on under the food as soon as I got there, but the sauces looked a bit solidified. But the food tasted good, service was nice (not intrusive, but helpful), and decorations nice.

Great for a group, date OR Solo!

This is probably my 2nd review since I've been using menu pages for 5 years because I'm usually not compelled... But this place is fantastic! They really make you feel so comfortable and welcome with their friendly and helpful attitudes :) It's a very warm place. I had some kind of chicken with bell peppers and it was dee-lish!! The shiraz, good-average. Very nice portion sizes and because it's not very busy yet they don't rush you in and out. Oh, and no horror stories about the way the food makes you feel- I feel completely normal! I might just eat my leftovers for breakfast :)

Do yourself a favor and go to Bombay Bistro

I went to BB on Saturday for my birthday with some friends and the food was excellent. The service was just wonderful. At first, one of my friends was apprehensive because he has a delicate stomach. (as do I but I always take risks!) Even though I cannot have too much spicy food, I went for it anyway. This is the first time in a long long time I was able to eat at a restaurant and not get sick. Everyone was pleased. The waitress was nice enough (and patient) to explain to us what everything on the menu was and how it was made. The peas Pulao and the lemon rice was delicious!. We also had dessert. It was an indian mango icecream and it was so smooth and just awesome! The prices were great and perfect for the economy. I was very satisfied. BB did not dissapoint. Very clean, great service, and great food. Oh and not to mention the fact that after dessert and coffee, we stuck around to talk and reminiss and the staff did not at any point hint at us to leave. We actually had to call THEM over to get the check. They were just so nice and patient. The only thing that was surprising to me was that iwas a saturday evening and it was practically empty. Actually, it was completely empty. it picked up a little towards the end of the night. I really hope this review helps. Go to Bombay Bistro!!!
