    Worst Lobster Roll

I honestly cameto MenuPAges to grouse about the lobster roll at Ditch Plains , and found the first review sinigng its praises. Oh well, chacun son gout. As for me, I really do think the DP folks should call it "Lobster Textured Roll." There was plenty of lobster alright, but it was so overwhelmed by seasonong (maybe Old Bay) that I could not taste lobster at all. The meat might as well have been tofu. I have to say that with every bite I kept saying "waste of calories and $$$." To make matters worse, the place was overly noisy, the music too loud and the service somewhat impolite in a "hey, dude, what's up" kind of way.

    Best Lobster Roll in NYC

I had the most delicious lobster roll hereit was overflowing with lobster and the lobster itself was really flavorful. Not too much mayo...overall fantastic.

    great all around

Our waiter, who was running the whole place himself - bar and all - was nice and attentive to the perfect degree. Never felt like he was being fake, and there wasn't a hint of assumption about whether we would leave a big tip or not (one of my friends and I look a bit young and sometimes have this problem when dining out). The food was delicious, seriously, and I had the best white wine of my life there. Now, if only I could remember the name of it... For those that work in the food industry, this is a good place to go, as it's open late, even on off-days

    Great Sunday Lunch

My husband and I wandered into Ditch Plains on Sunday Oct. 19 and had a wonderful experience. We arrived around 3 pm, and the restaurant was not overly crowded, and we were able to get a booth big enough for four without any attitude from the hostess. I had a bloody mary, which was great (although expensive at $12). The crab dip and steak salad are amazing. The waitress/bartender was very attentive but did not hurry us along. All in all, a very pleasant experience, and we will be back!

    Not recommended

We had heard this was a fun, upbeat seafood/kid friendly place - we, family of 4, placed our order, we chose 2 of the specials off the board (red snapper for me, fish and chips for my husband) 20 MINUTES LATER , SORRY WE'VE BEEN OUT OF BOTH FOR AWHILE. The S'mores for the kids badly burnt and widly overpriced. Change of waiters mid-stream - both servers equally lackluster. We realized then- this is really a bar - not a restaurant.

    pleasantly surprised!

I've only been here once but will definitely be back! Loved the crab dip and mozz fritter appetizers. Got the ditch dogs for the table which would have been great if I was hungover.... speaking of which, Good drink selection.

    Great Atmosphere and Food

I went to Ditch Plains one night with some friends who have gone there before. We had such an amazing time! The food and service were awesome. The ditch dogs are so good! And i washed them down with some gin and pink lemonade! I can't wait to go back!
