    Overpriced & mediocre

decent comfort food; but way overpriced for what it is! two bloody marys and a burger should not be over $50---especially when the service is so slow.

    Ditch Plains should be ditched.

I was very excited to go to Ditched Plains, I thought Mark Murphy must have something special to try. It did, the fried pickles. That's where it all stopped. The steak tacos, were ugly in their presentation. I mean a chain's tacos look prettier. The steak was 2" long and 1/2" wide. You want the pieces bite size squares. It was eating cold spagetti without a fork. The pieces were cold and hot. With a drizzle of hot sauce on top of lettuce. Really? This is a Chopped judge! My partner ordered grouper. Which smelled. I don't like fish and it was the last thing I wanted to smell was stinky fish. The manager was behind us (I didn't know this was the manager 'till later) Was talking so loud into her cell, I had to have the waiter repeat the specials because who could hear. The staff doesn't seem professional, on girl was standing in the back playing with her hair. One bar guy was walking around trying to be hip. Pulease! If you want to drop a $100 and feel like I could have gone to a chain restaurant, go there.

Need glasses to see the portions

New UWS location: nice space / bar, good atmosphere warm and welcoming. Stick with the bar and drinks. Food/Menu - well sub-par bar food at restaurant prices. Portions small, no sides, everthing extra. We all had a good laugh at the portions, but unfortunately it was at our expense.

    Lobster roll NG

One of the worst lobster rolls I have ever tasted....the consistency of the lobster was flat out weird. Too much onion over powered the taste of everything. And is pathetic for price of the thing they give you potato chips???? And turn the music down...

    Ditch the prices

fun place, nice space, good location, good music bu a litle loud, acoustics awful, all wood no padding, the food is good, portions are average, menu is fun, good choices, BUT...the proces are ridiculous for all of the above, no wines by the glass only 1/2 bottles, which is okay, but not if you're the only one drinking wine, a simple dinner for 2 (1 appetizer, 1/2 bottle of wine, 2 entrees, 1 side dish (xtra charge for sides) 1 dessert was $120.00, you can definitely get a better seafood meal in nyc for $40 less.

i only had one drink but it was the most perfect one ever

I had the guava/guava it was perfect. i have never had a perfect cocktail before. I thought the bartender was excellent as described in the review below, he ran the whole show in a non-intrusive, natural easy going kinda way. Good times, good crowd, a very inclusive spot. However, it was only one drink -but it was that good.

Third time is not the charm

This was our third time eating at Ditch Plains. The food was decent, but not worth the money. The service was horrible. Asked for mustard and it required me to get up nearly 5 minutes later and ask for it again- while my food got cold. We asked for the check and it took 15 minutes to get it. The place was barely busy and the wait staff looked like it was their first night on the job. The manager, when we complained about the poor service, seemed to not care. This will be our last dinner here. Too bad, I liked their Bloody Mary's.
