So i work in midtown, where deli's can charge 6 dollars a pound for often spoiled produce, dishes is by far the best salad bar in the area, everythings fresh and delicious. With far better choices than nearby food worlds and madison ave deli's. The staff is friendly, and during lunch hours you cant beat the scene. Navigating the salad bar takes some time, but it's worth the wait. And if your a breakfast fan, the spread in the morning is unbeatable.

I am a chocoholic and Dishes' orange chocolate chip muffins are worth both the calories and the price. I can't eat chocolate chip muffins at any other place . . .

I have been a frequent patron of this Dishes for quite a while since I work in midtown, around the corner. Their food is fresh and good with a large variety but for many items such as salmon, chicken and steamed vegetables - the food is only good if you go right around noon. I have a feeling they make all the food early and serve it throughout the afternoon. With something like salmon which is one of my favorites this doesnt exactly taste good at 2pm. They do have a good and healthy variety of salads, side dishes, and vegetables. The desserts are always yummy. They are slightly pricey and the service is poor.

Dishes is the best place in town for breakfast. I'm a loyal Dishes customer for many years and I'm happy that other people noticed the quality. The choices are endless. The freshness and the inventiveness are beyond compare. Previous reviewer had a weird comment about the latte. All espresso and coffee drinks in Dishes are truly superior.

I am very impressed with Dishes' breakfast selection. The Market table is full of beautifully prepared, tasty food. Their only fault is the espresso bar - they make *so-so* espresso drinks and lattes.

Though pricey, dishes is worth every cent. It's packed at lunch time, so there will definitely be a wait to order or pay. I hope they open more of these around the city.

Dishes is amazing, with a variety of high-quality options. The food is fresh, constantly replenished and delicious. Between the market table, salad bar, noodle bar, sandwich, smoothie, etc... options there is something for everyone. Unlike the other reviewer, the sushi is my favorite! The Vietnamese summer rolls are excellent, as are the staple poached salmon, fresh vegetables and unique salad offerings at the market table- a great mix of staple offerings and daily specials. For a treat, try the bento box with chicken satay (it takes a while though). I am such a Dishes fanatic that I often stop at the counter in Grand Central Market and get something to take hom for dinner! The lines can be long, the space crowded and the food on the pricey side, but it's worth it. Everyone I know who works in mid-town is obsessed!
