poor delivery service
Never place a delivery order from them. The man taking the order over the phone is the worst. Also, breakfast is always sometimes messed up. I have ordered a few times now so take my word for it.

Good Food, Rude Staff
I'm here practically every morning, and many times for lunch. The food is always interesting and different, but be prepared to have your breakfast/lunch ruined by rude cashiers. They will scream "next" at you when people are still waiting for their change back in front of you, and then they will proceed to just toss your lunch into the bag - meaning that if you put a variety of items in your container, it will be a jumbled mess when you take it out of the bag. Not exactly the best service when you consider you're spending somewhere between $10 - $15 for lunch to be screamed at and have your food look like something put it in a blender.

Awesome Food! But avoid between 1-2pm
Dishes has hands-down the best buffet in midtown. The dishes are varied (Coconut chicken, thai noodle salad, eggless caesar salad, sushi rolls, rice salad, mac & cheese-to name a few) and every dish is delicious. But be careful, as you are loading up your tray, the price is climbing. The soups are also amazing, especially Thai lemongrass soup. I agree that it is noisy, confusing and crowded, so I always plan a Dishes trip before 12 or after 2pm.

Good Food, Slow delivery
Dishes is one of my favorite Lunch time restaurants in the midtown area. I do think that they take a long time to deliver food and If I were to change one thing I would change that. However, overal this is a great place to grab somthing quick to eat. Just don't order in!

Not rec'd
The employees have set a new record for ineptitutde. the food was expensive ($14 for noodle soup? Chicken Broth and pasta!), and it was so crowded it appeared to be a sea of young Midtowners.

Great Food, Painful Experience
I am a trained chef. I work nearby Dishes on 45th, and think that they offer the best food in the area for lunch options. HOWEVER - to go there during a lunch break is a very painful experince. It's crowded, there is no "flow" and it is unclear which is the buffet line/sandwich line/salad line/check out line. There is also very often, no where to sit and eat. Adn the check out experience is rushed. Please Dishes, do something about the crowding and lack of space. I love your food, but for the price I could have a much more pleasant experince elsewhere.
