Complete waste of money and time

Not only is the food overpriced and stale, the service is poor. They rush you throurgh the lines, don't listen to your order and the customer service could use some real work. On several occasions I have not received what I ordered and this past visit I was appaled at the lack of accomodation that both the woman at the check out counter and the day mangaer gave to me. On top of that I was charged $9.00 for a miso soup that I can get for $2.00 a few blocks away.

    Best Lunch in Town

Dishes is simply the best buffet in town. The food is outstanding. The soups are delicious. I always go for the buffet and sometimes a soup, although I hear the salads soups and sanwiches are quite good. If you want a truly gourmet buffet at a price that isn't cheap but won't break the bank, go to Dishes, its worth it!

    Very delicious

This food is amazing from their soups to their salads, they know what they are doing in terms of freshness. However, because of this reputation, they are always PACKED and very busy at breakfast/lunch times.

Very disorganized and way too overpriced

This place is great for anyone who loves wasting their hard earned money. Being a true born and raised New Yorker, I understand that nothing in todays day in age is cheap but Asian soup for $12.00. What does that consist of you may ask, after all it is soup... Some noodles, boiled chicken or beef (and its not Kobe Beef), some bok choy, a little bit of scallions and bean sprouts, maybe some cilantro and we cant forget about the broth! How about the $7.00 strawberry lemonade...Yes I said $7.00!!! You do get free refills right? WRONG - Are they kidding me?

    Absolutely Subpar

The staff was very rude. I felt as if I was being rushed from the minute I went through the door, and it was after the lunchtime rush. I felt the appearance of the place was dirty, and presentation was left lacking. This place was recommended to me from a friend who goes often for lunch and I'm questioning their judgement. It was sickening.

    Best midtown lunch

Unbeatable food. I'd eat every meal here if I could. Bummed that it's not open for dinner. Also, don't be scared off by the crowd -- they are fast and efficient at the register and will get you out quickly. Anyway, it's worth a little wait.

    Just Delightful!

While if you enter this establishment in the peak lunch hours, it will be overwhelmingly crowded but still tasty. The salads are fabulous and the other lunch and dessert options are just simply wonderful; I do recommend the rice krispy treat (just sensational!). Dishes was spotless and the staff was very on top of making sure the buffet station was constantly stocked as well as the refrigerators. Overall, our experience here was great and we will be returning shortly for lunch excursions.
