The food is wonderful: fresh and flavorful; like no other buffet with its' Asian, Middle Eastern and European influences. The scene is that of the well-heeled rushing about with their non-eco-friendly plastic containers pushing through to get to the tasty selections. Warning: leave your bags and parcels at the office as these seemingly innocuous items turn into weaponry amongst the squeeze. The holidays prove to be particularly perilous. The bustle in this place has the ability to take the most decent of people and turn them into a much less polite survivalist that lurks within. The metamorphasis is captivating. The staff is either indifferent or rude; neither a valued added in my book. Fortunately the foods' superior quality for the price outweighs the moody factor. Here is hoping that the team at Dishes rises to the occassion to bring their service to the level of the food. "Have a nice day" goes a long way when it is backed with at least a hint of sincerity.

np ... you said it so right ! i just got back from there and i know the nasty worker you are talking about ... everytime i leave there i wonder why i go back (the food is good) there is one very nice girl at the reg and i actually try to wait to get her.the manager is nice but like u said ..does nothing to help.i hope the owner does something..all at where i work feel the same.

Although the food at dishes is very good, the service is not. Many people continue to go there despite the nastiness of the people who work there because of the quality of the food and the convenient location, but I really hope that one day the owner of Dishes will pay attention to the reviews that people are writing about the restaurant's poor service. The manager seems incompetent and aloof about people's discontent with the service. If you say anything to him, he stares at you with a blank face and says nothing. The counterwoman is the most unpleasant cashier I have ever encountered in my life. She is nasty, abrupt, and is annoyed when you ask her for your receipt. Once, she forgot to put my wasabi and soy sauce in my bag and when I mentioned it, she just yelled, "I don't know! Go get more yourself!" I really cannot believe how they've managed to get away with being so rude to their customers. The owner should really do something about it.

I like the food at this place . It's always fresh and delicious . The service is poor. The food is expensive , but worth it , I can only have lunch at this place once or twice a month . I work fairly close to this cafe , and it's a treat to myself to have lunch here once in while . I recommend the food very highly .

don't know what they do with the bacon but it's so freaking good. it's obviously overpriced because it's a chic place. best time to grab lunch would be 11:30am or 3pm. rush hour requires the patience of a saint.

A delightful festival of surprising flavors. Some complain that it's too expensive, but the 1000's of people who keep coming each week don't seem to think so. Dishes charges by weight, so for those who think it costs too much . . . , simply eat less and enjoy.

The food is very healthy and delicious, but way too expensive!
