I love that they have small breakfast sandwiches and yogurt cups all ready to go. The food is good, bargain priced & getting it is quick & easy. On my way from the train to the subway, it's never more than a 4 minute stop to grab something to go.

I used to get a smoothie from here every morning until I started noticing just how plain rude the employees are at this place. The more I would buy smoothies from them the more disrespect was shown to me. Examples include ignoring me for 5 minutes before dryly asking "yes?" and after I nicely asked the guy if he could make it quick because I have a train to catch he took a long pause , gave me the dirtiest look and purposely took all the time in the world. These are just some of the dozens of horrible experiences I've had at this place and the last straw involved me trying to pay for my smoothie. Dishes have two cashiers on opposite ends of their station and when I went to one, the guy working there told me to go to the other cashier. Then when I went to the other cashier the lady rudely told me to go back to the other one. I was sent back and forth several times before anyone would do their job. I now make my own smoothies at home which is way cheaper than Dishes over priced smoothies, minus the rudeness.

Dishes is the best place around midtown if you want to invest in quality and variety in your meal. I recommend the salad bar where they serve sushi, oven baked salmon with yogurt, organic rice, freshly cooked warm roasted eggplant, roasted mushrooms, crispy chicken, hummus, basically anything you want... the soups are very tasty as well. They also have sandwiches which I have never tried and plenty of sweets. I do not recommend the mixed salad where they make it for you though. Basically only the salad bar is worth it. Also, the atmosphere is a great one, but getes annoyingly packed between 12:00pm and 2:00pm. so I suggest arriving early! Never had bad experience with the service, I would rate them as highly efficient to handle so many customers!

Despite its high prices and prime location in Grand Central terminal, this Dishes outlet has a very low standard of customer service. Employees are seemingly chosen for their ability to look surly and communicate in a rude manner that borders on hostile. This is a shame as their smoothies are made from fresh ingredients and are actually pretty good.

This takeout restaurant has terrible service. The cashiers are rude and never give the rightful change. Be sure to count your change, the cashiers make many mistakes. I will never go back to the restaurant on 45th street. The manager is rude and unfair. There are many places to get lunch, this restaurant is over priced!!!!

Customer service at Grand Central location of Dishes is not good. Salespersons there are not only unhelpful, but plain rude to customers. Any questions about a food item is greeted with agitation and a rude answer, if any at all. Yes the food here is slightly better than in other places in Grand Central terminal, but much more pricy. No other place in Grand Central terminal has such subpar customer service. The rudeness begs the question, should you be paying higher price for the food, when the service is like this?

The food is very good, but the service is poor. The sandwich line is completely disorganized; have they ever heard of signs? Order here, pay here, pick up here? The cashiers are rude and not helpful. Customer service is definetely not a priority with them. The food is good, but overpriced and there's never a place to sit. a dissapointment. You could get better food and a better price somewhere else.
