    Well

I've eaten at virtually every BBQ place in the city, and despite people trying to convince me that this place is good, it's not! As far as BBQ places in NY are concerned, it's up there. But if you know good BBQ, Texas,Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and even louisiana(southern food) then you will not be satisfied. Don't think any place in the north east compares to real BBQ or southern food. But since beggers can't be choosers, this place is almost worth the trip/wait/price.

Average BBQ. I would not go back.

I was disappointed by the food at Dinosaur.... dry brisket, and the sides (I had beans & fries) were just alright. Service was actually pretty good, and attentive. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was great at multitasking. The atmosphere, though is strange...fake 'graffiti' in the bathrooms, hokey license plates decorating the walls. I would certainly not make another trip to Dinosaur, and think there is far better BBQ to be had at various places in the city.

    The best Bar-b-que

I haven't had such great wings and fried green tomatoes in a long time. The food is well worth the wait. I guess I've been lucky the waitresses and waiters I had were pleasant and accommodating. Whether its the bar, side area or a reserved table the food tastes great and the drinks aren't bad either. The decor is fun.

    Wow

Simply put, the food is amazing and well worth the money. I keep coming back and always bring out-of-towners for a meal. Call ahead for reservations if you can and be prepared to wait a long time for your food. It normally comes when you've gone from hungry to famishing. I suggest you get an apptz.

    Fantastic Barbeque

My boyfriend is from North Carolina, and he loves his barbeque. We went to Dinosaur barbeque last week and it was out-of-this-world good. I can't think of a single thing they could have done better. Even the wait at the bar was enjoyable. Everything we ordered was succulent, and flavorful. The servers were extremely helpful and friendly. We had such a great time. We had to restrain ourselves and not go back the next night. This is the best barbeque joint in Manhattan. Finally! And it's pretty cheap too.

    Better Servers Needed

Agree that the food and atmosphere are great but the service is not so good. From the start we were rushed into ordering even though we were sitting the bar area and begged for five extra minutes so our last person could get there to order with us. As soon as our plates were cleared, we were handed the bill despite having full beers and requesting to order another round. Not sure what the rush was, especially since we were quiet, polite, and certainly willing to continue to order drinks and possibly even dessert if only we were given a minute or two to digest before being forced out of our seats and out the door.

    Worth the Trip Uptown

Great place for groups. the place is always packed, they have live music, over 20 beers on tap, and great food/good prices. we were there for a birthday over the weekend, and we got the whole restaurant (including the waitresses) singing "happy birthday" at an embarassing level. my only gripe is some of the service. the hostess, and dude that waits in the bar (he may be a manager) have serious attitudes. other than that, it's awesome!
