I went here for lunch, seeing all the positive reviews. I got a cold sandwich that tasted purely average, for an above-average price. Not recommended.

Kick Ass, But Don't Scream W/ Enjoyment!

Awesome Food, Great Prices, Nice Size Portions! However I went with my sister and 4 others who were also sisters and we were told to be quiet! But other than that we had a great time! Be sure to make reservations! Don't make plans after, because you will be too full and satisfied to do anything else! Dinosaur is a must in NYC!

    The best.....

chicken wings EVER! I would go back and just get wings and slaw. Mmmmmmm good. Did I mention that you'll need extra napkins. Ordering them for superbowl, not the napkins. I cant frigin wait!

Pulled Pork & Chocolate Icebox Pie

Delicious pulled pork platter. It was very moist and tender and not fatty at all. Also the salted potatoes, fried green tomatoes and collard greens are yummy. If you have any room for dessert try the chocolate icebox pie. It is so good...almost as silky smooth as a mousse.

Maybe good if you're from ny...

but as someone who has lived in Texas and KC, this just doesn't work. I didn't have high expectations despite the hype because, well, this is nyc, and I really wanted to like this place because the person I went with had gone to the one in Rochester and loved it. The service was dodgy. The server came several times in quick succession at the beginning of our meal, but when we needed refills and the check, she wouldn't come by, even when at a nearby table; I noticed this happening with the table next to us as well. The wings were smoked well and meaty, but the flavoring was off...good heat but with a strange tang. The brisket was dry, as others have mentioned, the ribs weren't that tender...found myself sawing at them, and that's just not right with ribs...and the pulled pork was dry but decent with the sauce. The fries were flavorful, but I'd skip the mac and cheese...good texture but bland. And the cornbread...what a disappointment! It was the first time I didn't finish a serving of cornbread...it was dry and, surprise, bland. My friend said his experiences in Rochester were much better, so I'll try it again if I'm up there but never again here...bland, dry food in a dark, odd atmosphere (writing on the toilet seat in the women's restroom...wtf?!). On the plus side, it was cheap, so I wasn't out much money.

    Great Food

Great BBQ! The service can be slow because the restaurant is often times full. However, the food is definitely worth the wait and the atmosphere is very fun.

    Dinosaur to go

Last night we had our annual Holiday party at the office and this year we got food from Dinosaur Bar-b-que (in the past we have had Virgils and Brother Jimmys). All I can say is that it was as good out as it is in the restaurant. Everything was delivered right on time, nothing missing, and the food is just to die for. The consensus among the 50 or so people attending was that this was the best yet. And to top it all off it was $1000 to feed 50 people. In this city that's a bargain. Can't wait to go there again.
