I was suspect after reading the previous reviews but they delivered on service. Very accomodating. I am in the hospitality industry and if I felt that the service was poor I would state so. Excellent value. Minimal decor , tight seating but go for the value and quality and enjoy the good service. I will be returning very soon......

The food was excellent. Especially Chaat is the best I have eaten in 4 years in US. Entree was also pretty good. Authentic food. The service was very slow and the care for customer service didn't seem like a priority. The person who served the food was good :) I would definitely go back for the food and not care about the service much.

My boyfriend and I had brunch there on a Sunday (not the buffet lunch) we ordered from the menu. First the food took a really long time to arrive on our table. Second, the waiter did not pay much attention to us. People trying the buffet received more "care" then the ones ordering from the menu. I don't think they particularly like customers ordering from the menu when it's buffet hours, as it is extra hassle for them to cook something not in bulk. Overall the food wasn't that bad, but for the price you will be paying the service is POOOR. My theory is, anyone paying to eat in a semi-descent restaurant (as this one is) is also paying for the service. In this restaurant, it's really lacking!!! I don't think I would go back here, because the best part of NYC is you can go somewhere else as the choices are unlimited, who will cater to you in their restaurant. A NO NO for me! you can be the judge!

The food was average or just above average but the ambience and decor was excellent.

Last weekend I had finally chance to check out must talked abt restaurant Dhaba on Murry Hill. Ambiance was unique and loved those bold lights and those seating booth was good looking also. Okay so main part FOOD ??? How was it? Well, we were 3 so we ordered Bhel puri, dahi poori and my favorite Pav Bhaji, then for main course Methi Mutter malai, Beingan Bharta, Karela and few Onion Naans. Well, appetizers were superb and couldn't wait for our main course which came quickly after our appetizers were done and all of our order tasted good and was quite satisfied with amount they give with very good value. overall is a great great place, def Dhaba has now become my 3rd fav Indian restaurant in the city that I would go visit atleast 2 every week. I highly recommend everyone to def come and try this place out cuz my group had a great time piggy all the delicious dishes. And service was great everyone had smile on their face and I love how each of them have Dhaba Tshirt on, so cool!!! I want one, I wonder if they selling it.

The captains speak very good english.i love the look of the place.i am sure over time dhaba will be nyc top indian restaurant

waiter spoke no english which made it impossible to get communications right. food was terrible. had to send appetizer back for being freezer burned. ordered quail, which was reccommended. nothing but bones. atmosphere cramped and very loud.
