We had been wondering what happened to Little Charlies on Kenmare St. After going there for years, It was closed. Found Desy's in Williamsburg and read that they were from Little Charlies and went to try it. Glad we did. The food, Sicilian cooking and their red sauces have not changed. We make the trip 5-6 times during the year from Jersey and are never dissapointed. Make sure you have the canolli.

We placed an order for delivery to a manhattan office. The food was delivered exactly when they stated and is was outstanding. What a great value.

My son and I wanted clams and did ot want to go far to get them on the half shell. We googled clam bars and Desys came up so we decided to take a trip to have some. The waitress bought two types of sauce to our table to try because they are known for the sauces. OMG they were fabulous! They also bought over a loaf of hot bread for dipping...yum! The clams were good too, only I don't know why they were presented with ice cubes ON TOP. Anyway, the food and sevice was great and I intend to go back.

It was great to finally go to Desy's Clam Bar, after missing the food from the old Little Charlie's Clam Bar in Manhattan for so long. Thankfully, everything tasted just like it did back at the old joint. The red sauce that comes out as you're looking over the menu is as good as we remembered. My pasta was excellent, and so was the chicken parm. It wasn't crowded at all on this particular day but the service was first-rate. They're working on getting their liquor license (not a big deal for us) and the decor is so-so, but we went for the food and we'll be going back for the food (and service). If you're looking for very simple, authentic, delicious southern Italian food, try this place. There are really not many restaurants like it in NYC any more.

We came here because it had some good reviews. The food was mediocre at best, there was no one in the establishment and the waiter asked us if we wanted our biscuits hard or soft, we said soft, he threw two rock hard pieces of stale bread on a plate and told us to enjoy. ew.

We were just walking by & decided to stop in. Ordered the Lemon Chicken over angel hair pasta instead of the potatoes. It was delicious! And huge! I could barely eat half but my boyfriend was happy to finish it off. Also got the calamari & we had sweet sauce and medium. One for him, one for me. We both left very happy and full.

My boyfriend and I had a craving for seafood and decided to give Desy's a try (note: it's literally one of two seafood joints in the Williamsburg area). First and most important: The food was GREAT!!! Really, a total pleasant surprise. It was a liiiitle pricey, but everything was worth the cost. When I finished ordering (we got food to go) the hostess responded, "Don't you want to try our sauces? We're famous for them." Ummm... sure, why not? I can't tell you how glad I am for this recommendation. I got the hot sauce, the medium sauce and the white clam sauce with an order of bread. AMAZING!!! I'm a spice-fiend, and the hot sauce was the spiciest thing I've eaten in Brooklyn thus far, so be warned. The medium was flavorful, and the white clam sauce was deelish. As for the cons: If you're getting a seafood dish, pay the extra $3 to get it over pasta, as the "biscuit" is actually just a super hard garlic knot. But that's about it. Highly recommend!
