Everything excellent, but in Spain people have dinner at 10 pm, and this place closes at 7. Even for Soho this is odd! Also one of the very few places to buy cooking products from Spain in Manhattan

I live two blocks from this place and i love this place. The people there are super friendly. They have all kind of imported goodies there but I always get a Despana sandwich... its the perfect sandwich to pack in your bag and head to central park to eat.

i ordered the picante sandwich, gazpacho, and almond torte for delivery. it was so good. the gazpacho had a really amazing consistency and you could taste the fragrant olive oil, but it was not greasy or heavy at all. definitely the best gazpacho i have ever had. the sandwich was delicious as well. the almond torte was ok, it was not that sweet-more like a breakfast bread that would go good with coffee. delivery was really fast, but they didn't accept tip on my credit card. so make sure you have enough tip in cash!

my friend took me here for lunch and even though it was small, the food was worth the crowdedness. The ingredient was fresh and tasty. They had great twists on regular Mexican food. I would go again and again.

Despana is excellent food for reasonable prices -- only problem I've ever encountered is not receiving all of my order and having to return to get what was forgotten (which they happily supplied me with). The people are super friendly, just a little absent minded. It's an office favorite for lunch.

This place really has imported foods from Spain. Loved the sausage and tapas. You even can get soft drinks that they don't sell here. The service was quick and nice. A bit small but you still can enjoy the food. It was a bit pricey, but it's worth the treat. Will go again for sure. I rate this place 95%. The missing 5% needs to go to their tortilla de patata, don’t get me wrong they got a great variety, however it is not home made but a packaged version, which sells at the local supermarkets in Spain.

great sandwiches - all ingredients were fresh and tasty, even the ciabatta bread they use is so good. for dessert, the cheesecake was amazing. its not your typical cheesecake. not sure what kind of cheese they use but it was uniquely delicious.
