This is an excellent place. If you want to dine in, just recognize it's a cafe type place, not a fancy restaurant, and you won't be disappointed. The food is fresh, and "clean" - no grease, excessive oil etc. The general set up is also great for informal gatherings, solitary dining or even work (they have wi-fi and don't mind if you stick around). The menu is restricted to popular street food - but there's a lot of choice. It's all good. Keep an eye on the prices though. It's definitely a good deal, but it adds up and can be more than other cafe type places in the strip - approaching restaurant prices.

This place was amazing and the food is spectacular I had the chicken tikka roll and it was spicy yet sweet in a way so tempting! If you have never had Indian food before I strongly recommend Desi Galli!

This was my first time and I will be back. I just got a chicken tika slider and a meat samosa to go. The samosa was ok (no better or worse than others), but the chicken tika slider was outstanding! Soft, tender chicken on a small, tasty bun with tasty condiments. I will be back.

I go to Desi Galli 3-4 times per week. My regular food is chicken tikka and bada pav. Last time I had alu paneer tikki. I love to go there. Perhaps, it is the single place in that area to provide cheap and delicious food where we can see staffs cooking in front of our eyes. I found the staffs service oriented. I have got addicted to these food and I think will be going there until I leave NY!!

I went to Desi Galli last night and was met by a not so nice staff of two guys. But hey, I thought, as long as the food is good, I don't really mind it. I ordered a Paneer Bhurjee Roll and a Samosa Chaat. I was taking it to go, so I stood upstairs and got to watch them make my food. First, the paneer roll--they threw a glob of paneer onto the hotplate and just let it sit there for 5 minutes, without moving it. Big surprise when I bit into my roll and got inedible, burnt-to-a-black-crisp paneer. Really disappointing. I'm not exaggerating when I say I couldn't eat it. I was hopeful the samosa chaat would redeem the experience, but boy was I wrong. It was cold. I don't mean lukewarm or room temperature, I mean this-was-just-taken-out-of-the-fridge-cold. Needless to say, I was annoyed. I had high hopes for Desi Galli--the area needs a "fast food" affordable place that puts a modern spin on Indian food.

I went with my friends expecting good food, but disapointment. Took long time to make the rolls. when we ate it, it was not tastly & rolls were like rubber. People working in front did not care to take the order. Everybody was talking too much. Very poor service & stale food . Will never go back.

Recently went to this place and ordered paneer roll , wada pav and bhel. Paneer roll was excellent, the wada par was ok and bhel was ordinary. Since I am from the place where these dishes have originated , I was expecting a more authentic taste for the wada pav and bhel . The sweet and tamarind chutney used for the bhel was very sour and didnt quite like that. The prices are reasonable but a single dish wont fill you up for lunch and you would probably end up ordering 2 items atleast.
