me and my girlfriends were there couple times.we love turkish food and this restaurant made us go back to there from manhattan.very nice and clean establish.service was excellent since i love whole grilled fish but cant handle the clean the bones waiter always clean it for me.and he does like a perfect never seen before.happy to be there every time..

I've only had the opportunity to dine in this fine establishment about a dozen times since 2008. I have never left disappointed in any way. The staff were efficient, courteous, patient, and attentive. In one instance, a waiter was also very considerate in that he pointed out a certain dish was mildly spicy but were not noted as such on the menu - that was helpful at the time for those in my party who can't handle spicy foods. On average, the service is very good, even on busy Friday or Saturday nights. The food has always been and still is very satisfying. I've tried most of the dishes n the menu, but for some reason, their seafood is what always consider first... must be how it's made. ;) Fellow customers were also well behaved and respectful of their neighbors. Dessert - if you still have room - is recommended. Tried all items on their dessert tray, and none have disappointed. Can't really comment on the bar as all I ever drink there has been bottled beer , water, soda or coffee. I have, however, seen some interesting looking cocktails. About the only 'suggestion' I can make is that they should consider hiring a waitress or two (only seen male staff there). As a single guy, that could enhance my dining experience. ;)

My Turkish boyfriend took me to dinner here for Valentine's Day weekend. Location is very convenient to trains. Atmosphere is wonderful-warm & inviting. Service was excellent! Fine dining quality without the stuffiness. The food is amazing!! Many items to choose from specializing in seafood. Had a wonderful time & can't wait to go back. I will suggest Deniz to everyone I know. :)

Try the Turkish dumplings.

The place serves GREAT food, a nice variety of Middle Eastern delights. We've eaten here or gotten take out a number of times. We might do it more often if the prices weren't so high. The service/speed of food is sloooooow, so you have to be prepared for that. Don't come here in a hurry and set yourself up for disappointment. If, on the other hand, you can afford to take your time, and love good Middle Eastern food, it's totally worth it.

Went to this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night. It wasn't too crowded and we were seated right away. The service was excellent. Our water glasses were filled up constantly (which I like), our bread basket was also filled once it was empty. We never needed to hunt down a waiter for anything. The food was AMAZING! We all ordered different entrees and they all were unbelievable. Would definitely go back here again.

I am not one to write a review, good or bad, but I felt I needed to write this one. The service at Deniz was very off-putting. My boyfriend and I were there yesterday. It started out as a good meal, but unfortunately, it did not turn out to be a good experience. Before we could finish our food, one of the waiters asked if we were done. Clearly we weren't. Less than 5 minutes later, another waiter asked if my boyfriend was finished, in the midst of him chewing his food. WTF!!! I was finished but they never cleared my plate but kept asking him if he was finished. SMH SMH. There was no indication of him being finished with his meal, no closed utensils, nor was his plate pushed to the side. It was really strange. Needless to say this left a bad taste in our mouths. The worst thing of all was there was a group of white women in there before us and they were chatting rather loudly, they were clearly done, their plates were gone, but still chatting, which is normal for most diners. But yet we were the ones who were asked repeatedly if we were done. I've never been harassed while eating a meal and then have to pay for it. It's really sad & upsetting because we liked the place. Needless to say we are a Black couple and won’t be going back.
