    Awesome southern eats

I love this place- been here a bunch as well and it's always a great experience. Although its not the same (because it can't be) it's the closest thing here in ny to those backroad Louisiana-fried and cajun-style eateries. I love southern cajun food and this place totally brings me down there everytime I go. The fried green tomatoes are amazing, as is the atmosphere! It's always has that fun friendly vibe to it and if I wasn't looking outside to 9th ave or talking to people with ny accents, I'd feel like I was back in la. If you like this type of food, you'll loooove this place.

    Love this place

Food is excellent. Only place I've found to get Turbodog Chocolate Beer (a Louisiana treat). Always meet nice people to talk to while you're eating. Far enough off the beaten Broadway track to never be too crowded.

As close to New Orleans as you can get!

My husband and I love Cajun cooking - so much in fact, that last year alone we went to New Orleans 6 times just to have it! But, now that we have discovered The Delta, we don't have to take a plane to get our favorite foods! They have real, down home cooking that is done with just enough spice to it! And the mac and cheese is to DIE FOR! We are going into NYC tomorrow just to eat there!

    I love it here...

I think the food is excellent and not greasy... The price is right and the atmosphere is fun... Drinks are way cheap too, another bonus.

    Nice Atmosphere, Poor Food

The food was greasy (and not in the good way NOLA food is greasy) and was not authentic at all. My husband and mother-in-law are from NOLA and they didn't think the food was good at all.

    jumbalaya

had the jumbalaya, very good. i especially like the scallions that were not too cooked, and the anduli (however you spell it) sausage, mmm, made the dish!
