What happen!
This use to be one of the best pizza joints in the city....now it's one of the poorest! Three nights ago I stopped in to crab a slice and a seafood salad...lets say that's the last time I do that. Unfortunately the quality of the food has fallen to a pathetic low. This icon of the UES no longer stands out for its great white slice but has lowered itself to Domino's level. I've seen this happen before to Delizia and its a shame.

Solid to go!
i live around the corner from here and order at least once a week, usually more. chicken parm is legit, cesear salad is a must and any of the pastas i've ever ordered are awesome! zero complaints about the food. old man on the phone could be a little nicer and honestly, there is no good reason to wrap every item we order in their own paper bags, waste of paper! other than those 2 minor details, love, love, love!

Like it but why is the sauce so sweet?
Delizia is a solid neighborhood pizza joint with a friendly staff and decent food. My one complait is that their sauce is far too sweet. In fact, I often order any kind of pizza that doesn't have their red sauce on it or if I do get one with red sauce, I make sure it's balanced with something salty like pepperoni or sausage.

Food is Good, but not the Delivery guys
I just ordered from Delizia after a recommendation. I ordered penne with meatballs, and one slice of white pizza, and one slice of the grandmas pizza. Both pizzas were very good. The meatballs were disappointing, and the entire dish lacked sauce. There bread is good though. However, the total was $16.06 which is very fairly priced. I gave the delivery guy a $3 tip and he shook his head. When he went down my elevator ( my elevator has a window that opens to my apartment) he started swearing, and then he yelled out "Cheap!' as he was counting the money. I saw this with my very eyes. I called Delizia and they said that the delivery guy was on his phone talking to a friend, and that he was not talking to me. Look like if I want some good pizza, and okay meatballs again, Im going to have to dine in...

Bettter than Mom's cooking
For the past tenyears I've been dining at Delizia at least once a week It is consistantly good reasonably priced food ( $13 for an entry and side salad). The staff always makes us feel at home and Candido, the manager, does an exceptional job .

Good and bad
Ok, first for the good - very tasty food at very reasonable prices. Now for the bad - I resent that they make you have waitress service, even if you are in the front of the restaurant and are only ordering something simple like a slice of pizza or a hero. If I want waitress service, I would go to the back of the restaurant, which is where they usually have the waitress service, not in the front. The front is where most people go who are just getting a slice etc. I don't need a waitress to bring me a slice of pizza and then expect a tip.
