    Decent Heroes

Pizza was OK; large enough slices, sauce and cheese ample. Yet, not especially good tasting . Adequate in a pinch But heroes were much better. Seems most of their heroes are "parmed." Meatball hero is with parmigiana cheese (only a little at that). But it was flavorful, not the usual meat, altho in a zesty sauce. The chicken parm was decent. The sausage and peppers parm was very good. Sausage was fresh and abundant. Peppers were fresh and many as well. A bit of sauce made it all come together. The hero loaf was small (6 inches?) and could not hold up under the ingredients but again it was a good piece of bread--not the usual hero variety. Definitely worth getting heroes (packed for takeout in neat plastic hero holders).

Great food for delivery, good pizzas

As most people in the neighborhood know... there aren't a lot of pizza places around here. Delizia's pizzas are very good... I get them crispy/thin crust. Service is always fast as well.

    Slice, yes. Delivery, no.

The pizza is great if you go in for a slice... super thin, fresh and tasty. I would say it is some of NY's best. The delivery is thick, rushed and just not as good. I wanted thin crust. Oh well.

    Stick with Others for Pizza

I had a pizza from this place based on the strong reviews on this board. I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. The crust was too thick and too chewy. I wasn't expecting thin crust, but not a big blob of dough either. Just my opinion.

Best NY style pizza on the Upper East

This is some of the best pizza (NY style) that I've had in the city. It's very comparable to Ray's, with amazing sauce. It also has the only internet cafe (2 computers) in the area and is open late, so definitely try it.

    Very pleased

I live right next to this place and absolutely love it. They have wonderful pizza. I go in for a slice at least once a week. They're open late which makes it a great place to get a slice after a night out.

    The Best!

Absolutely the best value on the UES. What can I say except everything is excellent...food, service, value and atmosphere. We eat there very frequently and always get friendly, efficient service. We've also had private parties in their dining room. Again, great service, we've been allowed to come early and decorate and are not rushed out at the end of the evening. When you book a private party, it's exactly that: private, not like other restaurants in the area who still seat other guests among yours. They are very cooperative, can't do enough for you, even make substitutions on their party menu to accomodate your needs. Don't waste your money on the expensive restaurants...come to Delizia. You won't be sorry!
