Went to check out delicatessen the other day. It's got an excellent location right on the corner of Lafayette and prince. It was a sunny day out, and the entire restaurant is open. The food was really good, I had the chinoise salad which was excellent. I'm gonna come back for more.

Other than the fish tacos and the nice atmosphere, this place is a total waste of time. I usually like to ask the waiters what they recommend, and this waiter seemed pretty clueless. Perhaps it was just the one, but somehow I doubt it.

Trendy atmosphere. Tight seating though. You need reservations to guarantee a seat for weekends. It gets crowded. Food was good: Spinach dip, Fish tacos (aswesome), Salmon (decent). Price is on the high side. Staff was ok but not overly friendly or anything.

The new menu is great. The croquettes are my fave! The sliders are delicious too. Service was very attentive and quick as well. It gets crowded later on, but overall it's a fun and relaxed vibe. I'll definitely be back.

The new menu is a great add to what was already a fun place to eat and drink. I think the quality and inventiveness of the menu is great especially for the price point especially in NYC. We had shareable apps and mains for the table which allowed for a wide sampling of the menu and most stuff was spot on. I'd go back and try the rest!

I'm suprised by all the negative reviews. I visited Deli a few times when it first opened and didn't love the menu/service...i thought the space was great as it did a nice job blending trendy w/ comfortable...after a hiatus, i was in this week and the new menu is GREAT...the place (finally) seems to be hitting it's stride...had a ton of apps and they were all tasty...and the new entree menu seems much more balanced than the old all-fried one...

I have hosted 3 dinner parties at Delicatessen (2 for clients and 1 for a group of friends); I have also visited the restaurant a few times since it opened to have drinks and apps at the bar. Every time- the service was great-- very attentive and friendly. The menu is good for groups- I like the cheeseburger spring rolls the best. My group retreated downstairs to the dimly lit bar after dinner for a few more cocktails -- which was nice because it allowed for a change of scenery after dinner without leaving the restaurant... The main dining room is a really fun and upbeat place to dine and I found the wine list to be reasonable.. Overall- this is one of the restaurants downtown that I consistently go back to...
