Love this place food was great service was impecable nice out door area. Only thing that was a issue was the fly that kept coming to the back but overall a lovely place I will tell all friends

speaking about delivery only. food is good but not great. Definately pricey, but takes time for delivery and won't be anything better than average. Never, i repeat never order the "fried chicken," especially delivery, but i can't imagine its good even dine-in... it is almost exactly like bodega chicken except worse because soggy from delivery.

I've been here several times, the food is always a very high standard, the service is warm, the place is buzzy. It's pricy, no doubt (we just spent $128 for brunch for 3 with only 1 alcoholic drink) but the food is consistently excellent and we will come back...

The most unappetizing fried chicken I have ever put in my mouth. I hail from the South so I try not to be a snob about fried chicken. I mean, how hard is it to batter and fry up a chicken? Not very. If chains can get it right every. single. time. how can someone make a mockery of such a simple dish, put it on their menu and charge people for it. I ordered it for delivery and afterward I read here to never do delivery. I won't ever again. But I have ordered plenty or fried chicken delivery from other places that is flawless when it gets to me so didn't see them harm. This was just someone not knowing what they were doing. The chicken was totally under cooked, the crust was barely done and the entire thing was super soggy from being delivered. There is nothing worse than having your mouth set on something and it ends up being totally disappointing, ruining your dinner and, well, night. Thanks for ruining my night, Delicatessen. I shan't be retuning.

I went to Delicatessan on a Monday night at 7 with no reservation. My boyfriend and I were meeting a friend so we would be a table of 3. We walked into a pretty empty restaurant, told the hostess, and told her we'd have a drink at the bar while we waited for our friend. Our friend showed up and we told the hostess. She was going to seat us by the door but we said we preferred to sit elsewhere since it was pretty cold out. She said it would be about ten minutes because she had other reservations. A few other people showed up and were seated in the back but she just let us continue waiting and ignored us. After about 20 minutes, we decided we would go elsewhere since we didn't feel like dropping our money at a place that so obviously didn't care about our business. When we complained, she said she didn't want to overwhelm the waiters with too many tables at the same time. Why we could have sat at the cold front table and gotten service but not sat down at another table was not explained. We ended up a Lucky Strike and it was so warm and welcoming! No wonder Lucky Strike has been in business for so long.! Passed by Delicatessan in a cab on the way home and it was still pretty empty.

the food will definitely come cold! i ordered for delivery twice from them and it took them about an hour each time! they simply are horrific when it comes to that. the food is OK but the service simply blows.
