the ultimate murray hill breakfast spot
I came on Saturday morning and was very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the delicious choices. i got the omelette sandwich and my mom got the mediteranean breakfast. we couldn't stop raving...they were both so good. the omlette sandwich had olive oil, vinegar, goat cheese, and tomatoes. but the owner suggested i try it with sundried tomatoes...WOW! my mom's mediteranean breakfast made her feel like she was back in morocco. so it may not be a bargain, but it was honestly worth every penny!

Overpriced offering
Agree with the other reviews on this one. Food is good and fresh, but very overpriced, I mean $8.50 for a small sized sandwich..hmmmm....that's an expensive lunch. So they said let's offer a free soda with the sandwich - but only 2 or 3 kinds of sodas - Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite Zeros, and oh BTW if you don't ask for the free soda, you won't even get it....you have to know that this is offered and ask for it.

Overpriced
Food at Delectica is certainly fresh and well presented. The problem is value in relation to price. Being in midtown, Delectica competes against lots of venues. To justify the high prices, it has to be special, and it isn't. Is a take-out salad or a chicken sandwich ever worth nearly ten dollars? Delectica's prices are high across the board: whether for smoothies, pastries or main dishes. It's a shame to see a good quality place do itself in because it thinks that a business location will always guarantee traffic and indifference to price.

Overpriced
The food is great, I will give them that. But I just picked up a chicken salad sandwich for lunch from there with no drink for $12.50. That is the most expensive sandwich I have ever had to go, not worth the price..

Raving!
Can't find enough words to express the gastronomical delight the fare at delectica was. Their catering services are unbelieveable. I highly recommend this cafe...

Great Lunch--Amazing Catering
I often stop by here for a healthy and very tasty lunch. (Though sometimes I'm tempted by their gourmet donuts.) The salmon wrap with the Israeli salad is my favorite. When I had them make up some platters for my company's office party the food was so out of this world. You can really tell that a lot of thought went into selecting the cheese, fresh fruit and all the ingredients for the sandwiches. My staff is still talking about how great those sandwiches were a month later.
