How nice it was to have pleasant people serving you at a steakhouse. Why do so many places feel the need to employ cranky career waiters? The staff at Del Frisco's was young, informed and nice. The food is great although the onion rings are not that good - they are big and impressive but basically without flavor. The steaks are great and the Dessert is the BEST. Their cheesecake is so subtle and so is the Lemon Cake. Great dining room, much nicer for business, group or pleasure than some of the other big names...

As someone whose favorite food is steak, I can't say enough about Del Frisco's. Having tried all of the NY staples, including Peter Luger's, Del Friscos is by far the best. In addition to the steak, the crab cakes and onion rings and the special lemon cake that is often served make this the perfct meal from start to finish.

My family and i return to Del Frisco's because it is consistently excellent and offers a terrific Prix-Fixe between 430-6. We ordered the filets and the rib eye and although they were out of the broccoli which we always love, the green beans were pretty good, as well. Service is excellent and one does not need spend a fortune if the liquor is kept to a minimum. And,there is no pressure from their terrific staff to order from the bar. Wonderful wait staff, and the fried oysters were outstanding. Nothing beats the cheesecake for dessert. Can't wait to return.

The crab cakes and the steaks are king and queen at this always packed Midtown steakhouse. The service truly personal and exceptional. By all means take your pick from the excellent wine list, where even the lower priced bottles are exceptional. If you are visiting New York, make this place your first, last or most important dinner, the restaurant's impressive decor and the view of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall are sure to immerse you in the over the top feel of the city. Oh, the onion rings are good too.

Arrived on-time for our 8:30 weekday reservation and had to wait 15 minutes before being seated. The restaurant was extremely noisy and filled with i-bankers in their mid-20's to early 40's on company dinners. The staff were efficient and courteous; especially the sommelier, who recommended a fantastic new Australian wine not yet on the wine list. We ordered the prime rib, filet, and porterhouse, all of which were delicious and served in generous portions, if not slightly too salty for my taste. Overall, a great experience, despite the wait and the noise. Be prepared to part with your dough...it goes quickly and easily here!

I wasn't too happy they lost my reservation, but they made room which was really nice. We had party of 9. I loved the atmoshere, the large windows, just the whole feel . The service was great, someone was always there. And the food was marvelous. It was a little strange to actually have them serve you the appetizers and sides which left it to if you didn't get the first round you didn't get because they serve it all out. (You would have to order another serving) The oysters were ok, but the steak was a sight to see. Most of us had the kobe steak special. And it look like a steak out of the Finstones with a big bone sticking out of it on the side. And it was cook as asked, plus they had you check when you got it in case you needed it cook more. I really enjoyed this restaurant.

The steaks here are exceptional, especially the prime ribeye. However, for the price they charge, we expected the service to be superb. For example, we had our menus closed for 10 minutes and noone came, we had to finally flag down someone to take our order (and they were not super busy either for that matter). I ordered a salad and a side of mac&cheese and got sort of a disapproving look from the waitress. I got the feeling that they expect you to order a steak. Other than a couple of annoying things like that, the experience was good.
