    Why all the negative reviews?

I am surprised at all the negative reviews. The business lunch is delicious and cheap. And delicious. And cheap. The bread is great. The steaks are unreal. Everything is amazing. Eat there.

    Not worth it

The service was so bad that it could not have been worse. We arrived for an 8pm reservation and did not leave until almost midnight - we did not order dessert because if we did we would still be there waiting for it to arrive, days later. To add insult to injury, the place was so loud, we now need a hearing aid. While the food was pretty good it was not worth the aggravation.

    Fell Off

I like the spacing in this huge restaurant, and the fact that it is a fun atmosphere. The food and service however are totally out of line with prices. Our waiter was so obvioulsy pushing expensive items and encouraging us to order way too much food. Sides were very salty and the steaks all tasted the same thanks to the heavy seasoning. Not a premiere spot anymore.

    Avoid

Went with my GF and another couple and were shocked that a place so expensive could be so mediocre. Our waiter started with the upsell from the start - seafood tower and other market priced big ticket items. Two salads came right out and the other two came twenty minutes later. Unacceptable for a place this pricey. Tomato and Mozz was one piece of each cut into quarters and layered on a plate. Steak was $60 and while good, very salty. Dirty plates sit while they pour your wine and push another bottle. Not a fine dining experience but side dishes cost $15. Spare yourself.

    Way Too Salty

Everything from Steaks to sides was way too salty. You will ruin your entire night if you eat here. Server was a bit too heavy on being your buddy. For these prices it could be a little more professional.

    Great Food Great View

Overall food was very good-Veal Chop. Ask for the price of the Lobster Tail (WOW). Crab Cake wasn't that special. Fabulous side items. Cheesecake light and wonderful. Extensive wine list. Great service. It was a bit noisy during the "afterwork drink" crowd.

    Power people

Power people. This is where many come in Midtown West. The huge windows, the view onto the street, the martinis, the wine, the steaks, and the sheer scale of the place spell power lunch, romantic dinner, and expense accounts. Del Frisco's is actually named Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House, but what's the importance in the name of "Double Eagle Steak House"? I get the part about the steak house, but what the hell is a double eagle and what does that have to do with beef? Shouldn't it just be Del Frisco's Steak House, or, hell, just Del Frisco's? A dumb name aside, a restaurant's quality will not be judged by this foodigator based on its name, but based on the restaurant itself. So we began with what must be the best damn crab cake in the City. What made this crab cake so exceptional is that it actually contained a lot of crab. No filler, no junk. Crab. And there was a not-too-spicy-cajun sauce around it. The Caesar salad contained no surprises, positively nor negatively. The wine list was well suited by the glass with a fair to middling selection by the bottle. Finally, there are the steaks. And that means one must choose. I chose a quite generously seasoned prime ribeye, which was possibly so well seasoned to add flavor to a non-dry aged piece of meat. Possibly not, but regardless it changed the taste of the beef. The Double Eagle Bone In Strip Steak didn't need so much spice as the bone added to the flavor. With all the usual sides, including a pile of onion rings that stood out.
