    Bad for delivery

I've been ordering delivery from Deans for awhile now and 80% of the time the food is a mess when it arrives. If you order pasta from here, be prepared to get your order with the sauce leaking out of the busted container. Consider yourself lucky if it gets to you without spilling everywhere. Sometimes it is so bad that if it weren't for me being so hungry I would not eat it, as it looks unappetizing when the container is broken and the food exploded everywhere. Asking the person on the phone to package it carefully does not help either. Sometimes they will say yes, other times I was told that they couldn't do anything about that. When i called to complain, I did not even get an apology and was told I could stop ordering from them if i had a problem. Its a pity too, because the food is not bad at all.

Not the kid friendly place it was supposed to be

Having been many times with two kids, I have taken Dean's out of circulation. What was billed as a kid's place has turned its back on the kids. There is no children's menu, no flexibility to made a dish to their tastes, the crayons are gone and the tvs are running news programs. To add insult to injury, they don't even support the Taste of Tribeca which benefits the two local schools and many of its patrons. Brick and Gee Whiz have such different attitudes towards kids.

    Stick to the pizza

The place isn't bad. Kind of place the locals take the kids for pizza. My girlfriend got the eggplant parm and the sauce was ok, tasted canned. I got the grilled chicken platter and it overall tasted pretty good - could have toned down the olive oil but overall it was good. Looking at the other tables' choices, the pizza looked pretty good. If I'm looking for classic brick oven pizza, I'd go again. If I'm looking for something else, I'd go somewhere else.

    great

Dean's has by far the most efficient, quick delivery service in the neighborhood. Having lived in Tribeca for 15 years, I guarantee no other restaurant even comes close. Food is the same quality as in the restaurant minus the screaming kids.

    Delivery Pizza!

We've eaten in the restaurant, and we had a lovely time. But. I have to say that we are huge delivery people, and Dean's has delivered! Tribeca, and most of Manhattan for that matter, lack good, flavorful pizza. Although we did not partake in the 'za in the restaurant, we just had it delivered and I am thoroughly satisfied. Flavor abounds compared to other joint in this 'hood. Keep Dean's alive. Order now!

    Excellent pizza!

We live in the area and just tried Dean's for the first time tonight. The pizza was AMAZING- very tasty crust, unique sauce, and fresh mozzarella. We ate outside and the service was excellent. We are definitely excited to go back again. The house salad was also great- perfect for sharing with pizza.

Nice surprise how great the Pizza was

We stopped at this place by accident. We didn't think a place named Dean's would be a good pizza place. We were very surprised how great the pizza was. They even gave us great fresh baked rolls with olive oil. We thought this was one of the best pizza places in the city. Try this place out.
