    Delivery Policy is an outrage!!!!!

I will say right off the bat, I love the square pizza. But, I don’t care if it’s your policy or not, you can not call yourself a pizza place if you won’t deliver an 18.50 pizza (square grandma pizza). You’re a freaking pizzeria!!! GET WITH IT! I shouldn’t be forced to purchase a soda or an additional topping because I came up a dollar fifty short on my order. Make the minimum whatever the cost of a large pizza is, and stick with it. This is crazy!!!!! There must be others that have encountered this ridiculous policy. Let's hear from you. We need to get this changed!

    Really wonderful pizza

The brick oven pizza drew me in. Our server brought out warm bread with flavored olive oil. It was zesty and so delicious. When the pizza arrived, the quality shone through. The olives were decidedly not out of a can the crust was thin and lightly charred, the sauce was flavorful, the mozarella was fresh and best of all, it was one of the least greasy pizza I have ever had (including the ones in Italy). I am not saying Dean's pizza is superior to the authentic thing, but by NYC standard it is certainly a standout - better than V&T's, even better than Patsy's (original one included).

    Great family spot

We love coming going to dean's with our son. Its a very laid back restaurant, the servers are very accomodating, and the pizza is delish.

    Sometimes Good Sometimes Awful

The pizza here fluctuates way too much. Sometimes it is wonderful and sometimes it is lousy. The other night our pizza was so salty it was almost not edible. The vegetables are always good.

Will close soon with service like this

Walking in I thought "Wow, what a beautiful space". Too bad they got my hopes up. The place was fairly empty when the two of us ordered our food and the meals came 20 minutes apart. After bringing this to the attention of the waiter and his assistant they explained that this was the way the kitchen works because a calzone takes longer to make than pasta. The manager thanked us for letting him know and that he'd take care of us next time. There won't be a next time for us.
