Really Bad All Around Except for the Pizza
I love Dean's pizza--and recommend it for take-out. Beyond that, stay away from this restaurant. It's physically beautiful inside but a disaster to eat in. Service is very uneven. The lasagna came half frozen inside, returned it twice and finally settled for it being warm. There are many families here with noisy children. Too bad. When it first opened, I was so happy with how it looked but looks can be deceiving.

Great Pizza, Poor delivery
Takes a minimum of 45 min to get delivery, and I literally live 4 blocks away. Usually takes over an hour. The pizza is amazing, but to be honest if it takes that long I'll order elsewhere.

poor delivery
We ordered from here and although the pizza is good, it was delivered cold and and an hour late. The delivery person said he could not do anything and the management, when called, said they would send a new one within 30 mins... but that is what they said the first time. Good pizza cold is not really good anymore.

Saturday lunch
I frequently visit Dean's. Saturday was a major catastrophe on a number of accounts: 1. The maitre d' was simply not hospitable and did not open the cooler dining room despite the humidity/heat and that the lobby was almost full. 2. The eggplant parm was clearly soggy and REFRIED. 3. Last but not least, not a clean restroom

Nasty Management!
The pasta is pretty good but a few times I received it overcooked so I began to ask for it "al dente'. Apparently this is a no-no because the management became extremely nasty and sarcastic and sent it even MORE overcooked! Can you believe it! I have also ordered the square pizza several times and find it is either delicious or awful. There is no in between.

Walked home with cold pizza!
My husband and I have several times eaten pizza and salad at the bar with beer or wine...always a great time and lovely bartender. However, after last night, I will NOT return due to a nasty waitress and indifferent manager. I waited a few minutes to pick up the pizza that I ordered to avoid a 45 minute wait for delivery. I give cash to the server and waited almost 10 minutes for my change...and she throws $3 at me despite owing me $7 change. The manager came over and made some lame excuse without any apology. The waitress finally threw my change at me without any comment....by the time I got home my pizza was cold and burnt!

Square Pie Like I Remember
I never thought I'd taste a square pie like they made in Brooklyn during the 1950's. Made an old man happy. Order it well done to get a little char in the crust. Also, the decor is amazing for a pizza restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. I will be back.
