Just a Bar to me
use to have a GREAT chef, now it's really just a bar.

What?
I was a regular at the old Tavern on the Dean and I have to say the prices are sky high. The menu has been cut in half and so have the portions. I do not like the selections, so it was tough to chose. But the Friday nite DJ is worth a drop by. The crowd is really fun.

Not bad, needs Improvement
Pros: Good food, good vibe, good crowd, nice atmosphere. Cons: You've got to be kidding with these prices and portions. The waitstaff, while nice, clearly has lots of newbies learning on the fly and struggles with the basics. Wife and I have gone twice for brunch. The food was really good (thyme & Gruyere scone! so good!), but paying $15 for an egg on fancy toast is ludicrous. In general, a nice neighborhood spot with good food, but needs to be realistic about prices and a more mature wait staff.

No longer a Nabe comfort spot...
I REALLY use to love this place. Well, it now has new owners and the ambiance is gone. The wait staff all seem really bored and the atmosphere is totally hipster (not that there is anything wrong with that). The food, well, the burger was good. I really miss the broad menu that the previous owner had. Also, this place is overpriced. I felt jammed in a corner in the back room, uncomfortable. If you want to sit up front then don't expect to sit anywhere comfortable AT ALL. I really don't think we'll be back.

Good brunch, but really pricey
We enjoyed the food a lot. It was really fresh and tasty. However, the eggs did not come with any bread, just grits and they charge $4 for one biscuit. Coffee was also not included. Brunch for 3 was over $60 with tip.
