    ugh

This was one of the worst places i've been to nyc. The sausages were awful and under cooked. Surprising since that is what they are known for. The eggs were a childs portion. The salad was inedible. I would never go back!

    not good

Went for brunch and was disappointed by the service, the food, and the prices. Portions were tiny and the food was just very mediocre - nothing special at all. Atmosphere is fun.

    Not that great

I went here last night and the food was a disappointment. The burgers lacked flavor and I could think of a few other places that would blow DBGB under the water. The sausages were ok, but nothing to rave about. I did not experience rude service like some other reviewers, but at times our server was unattentive. They do have a long expensive beer selection, but they are way overpriced! The space is pretty cool, but that alone won't bring me back there. Too bad because I had high hopes for this place.

    can't wait to go back...

at first i was hesitant to go here after reading the reviews below. let me say, i am sure glad we went!. the atmosphere is so unique and interesting, and our waitress was exceptionally friendly. for apps, we ordered the chopchop salad and the iceberg salad- both very fresh and beautifully prepared. for the main corse we got the seabass, roasted chicken and duck. everyone was extremely satisfied with their meal. i will certainly return again.

    So unpleasant

Do yourself a huge favor and do not go here... not even for a drink. To repeat what many other reviewers have noted, the bartenders and servers are completely rude. The ambiance is ridiculously unappealing punctuated by a crowded and loud bar full of obnoxious Wall Street types trying to be hip. The food is insultingly pretentious. I mean, does Daniel really think that his name commands those prices for beer and sausage? Ridiculous. I know that the "DB" in DBGB stands for Daniel Boulud (whose other restaurants are far less insulting), but it should really stand for douche bag, because that's the kind of person who would enjoy this place.

    Great Brunch

The pastries basket was like an orgasm in my mouth. The Yankee burger incredible, as was the other brunch items. If you like sausages, they have an incredible selection of artisan meats.

    Sort of three stars.

While the food is very good it could not make up for the crappy atmosphere. A drunk waiter whom while taking our order apparently got bored and just walked away. It is really a miserable crowd. And then to insult the whole affair ( as other reviews pointed out) the bus staff was clearing the table obsessively, before people had finished. They even cleared the placemats, truely a foolish place to go for an enjoyable evening. I can think of many other superior places, some dishes are great but the whole atmosphere is insulting to the customer.
