    Love the truffle fries!

Just moved to NY and often find myself at Bloomingdale's. I always tell myself I'm going to get a salad but I always break down and get one of their delicious sandwiches and the truffle fries. The staff is very attentive and I love the people watching seats by the window.

    Awesome Awesome Awesome

The haters have to get real, this is a super fun super chic "diner type" place ...perfect lunch time fare ....very fun, very fast... perfect for NYC...when you go there you have to ask for The Chocolate HIP Cookies..super healthy Gourmet chocolate chip cookies......only in New York.....hopefully this place will be a chain of restaurants

    Perfect!

Dinner special is really cheap... for $24 you can get an appetizer, main course and dessert. I love everything in their menu.... will def come back again.... lollipop cheesecake was the best!

    don't eat here

went for a quick lunch and was extremely disappointed. aside from the fries (which are hard to mess up anyway) the food was disappointing. as someone else said, the food is prepared and then reheated, and it definitely tastes like it. might be an ok meal for less money, but lunch for two was close to $50.

People are too hard on this place.

I suppose I've dined in enough restaurants to know that depending on what time you go, whats happening with seating and orders and staff, you will get a different experience every time. To judge so harshly on a restaurant based on one experience is pretentious and not fair. Obviously, most of the people who eat at a restaurant IN BLOOMINGDALES have probably never served in the food industry in their lives. I visited from England with my husband earlier this year and went to David Burke at Bloomingdales a few times while in New York. Each time was a different experience but this place is like that! It's a bit of a posh diner setting. Not fancy shmancy (although this is what people seem to expect I suppose) but definitely not a dive. Its a perfect little piece of New York. Our waitress of 2 times we attended, Lauren, was absolutely wonderful. She made us feel like a part of the family there and the staff all seem to get along with one another which makes a difference. She was very attentive and kind, even when the restaurant was at its peak during lunch. Our other server was a little less personable but also very kind. The food was fantastic, the staff was wonderful, the atmosphere bustling, fun and clean. I highly recommend. Kudos David Burke.

    Not recommended

Most menu items served here, we were told, are pre-made and then heated. And it tasted like it. Sandwiches were unimpressive, despite what the menu promised and even the truffle fries were a disappointment. Prices also steep for what you're getting.
