My husband and I were looking for a cozy quiet spot to celebrate the first day of the year and chose Darbar. It turned to be an excellent choice: the food and the service were great, the place was not noisy at all, I even wish music would be little louder. The portions were just the right size, we had panir tikka to start (so tender - meting in your mouth!!), gobi manchurin (not bad) and fantastic cheese and garlic naan. Out of the entrees the best was tandoori lamb chops, we also had spinach with cheese that was excellent as well. The server was very attentive and helpful, nobody tried to push for larger order or to rush us (we took long to decide). I would recommend this place to anyone who seeks affordable and more or less classy restaurant with good food.

I would not recommend Darbar. The food was ok, but portions were tiny (meat dishes came with 4-5 small pieces of meat swimming in sauce), and the service was abysmal. It took almost 45 minutes from the time we finished ordering until they brought any food (even bread and appetizers) and the table for two next to us had to wait even longer because they didn’t get up and ask the waiter to please bring anything that was ready whenever it was ready. We had to run after them to ask for another beer. We figured out why the service is so slow; you can’t decide on the tip, they just add 18% service charge onto the check so the wait staff has no incentive to give good service.

I initially picked this resteraunt because it was listed first on this website. What a great decision! The food was immaculate! I have never tasted Indian cuisine before and now im hooked! Out of all the fine dishes I ate, my absolute favorite was the Chicken Palak Sorba. I gave the atmosphere a 4 because I felt a tad out of place walking in with casual clothing. Other then that, highly recommended!

This place has reasonably good atmosphere and service but it's really all about food. I've taken several people there who were skeptical and then tasted the food and did a double-take, it was so good. Highly recommended.

yes if i have to describe this place in one word it would be 'Belissima'. I took my husband and his family there for dinner last saturday and I'm so glad I did. every thing we ordered tasted so taste buds pleasing.. we ordered Potatoe croquettes, bhel puri, gobhi paratha and reshmi kabab for appetiser, and every thing was so bright and colorful ( u know u can taste the food with ur eyes when it looks so fresh) and it taste no less than it appeared. though the mango lassi was little filling but it couldn't stop us from litterally cleaning our plates squeaky clean..chicken la jawab, lamb bhuna, paneer pasanda, and assorted breads ( my husband is a bread addict) we wanted to try the desserts but we were so full.yeah the ac probably wasn't cooling enough i guess, it was kinda hot but the smooth music covered it. I really can't wait to go back. our wedding anniversary is near so definately then.

I ordered food from Darbar for the 8 people in my office today and I could not be more pleased. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (especially considering how good it was) and was delivered precisely at the promised time. The food we received was exactly as ordered and everyone commented on how good it was. We will be ordering again from 1 Darbar. A big thank you to the restaurant for making today's luncheon such a success!

Been to Darbar twice with both of my parents and we all promise that it will be the BEST Indian food you'll ever have. The service is almost too good, the food perfectly and authentically cooked and just the right amount of spice and flavor. Classy atmosphere and clean bathrooms (they have been graded A for sanitation). The prices aren't too bad and definitely worth it. I'll probably never go to another Indian restaurant again. Too good.
